Notice for Unplugging the Power CordTo unplug the power cord, follow the procedure below.
Important
•
When you unplug the power cord, press the  ON button, then confirm that the  POWER lamp is off.
Unplugging the power cord while the  POWER lamp is lit or flashing may cause drying or clogging of the
print head and print quality may be reduced.

LCD and Operation PanelThe mode button (A) on the operation panel allows you to switch between the copy mode, scan mode, fax
mode, and setup menu screen.
Pressing the  Menu button (B) in the respective modes shows the menu screen to select various functions or
settings.

Each time the  Tone button is pressed, the input mode is switched in the following order: lowercase mode
(:a), uppercase mode (:A), then numeric mode (:1).

Loading Plain Paper / Photo PaperYou can load plain paper or photo paper.
Important
•
If you cut plain paper into small size such as 4" x 6" (10 x 15 cm) or 5" x 7" (13 x 18 cm) to perform trial
print, it can cause paper jams.

Grab the right and left sides of the front cover and pull out the cassette until it stops.

Use the right paper guide (C) to slide both paper guides all the way out.

Load the paper in the center of the cassette WITH THE PRINT SIDE FACING DOWN.
Push the paper stack all the way to the back of the cassette.

Slide the right paper guide (C) to align the paper guides with both sides of the paper stack.
Do not slide the paper guides too hard against the paper. The paper may not be fed properly.
