Multiple pages can be printed on one sheet of paper.
The number of pages that can be selected is 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 16 (Pages per Sheet).
If you select 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, or 16 (Pages per Sheet), the [Page Order] drop-down list 
appears, allowing you to specify the page order.
•Poster
Magnifies a single page image and prints it out over several sheets of paper.

[Finishing] Sheet
The [Finishing] sheet allows you to specify the following printing preferences.
■[Finishing]
You can select the method of finishing the document from the following options:
•Off: Each page is printed repeatedly to give the desired number of copies.
•Collate: The entire document is printed repeatedly to produce the desired number of 
copies.

This dialog box allows you to specify detailed finishing settings.
[Paper Source] Sheet
You can specify the following printing preferences in the [Paper Source] sheet.
■[Paper Type]
Specifies the type of paper used in the printer.
Configure this setting as follows:
*When printing envelopes, index card or custom paper, the printer automatically changes the printing mode to suit 
the paper type when you change the [Output Size] setting in the [Page Setup]...

[Quality] Sheet
The [Quality] sheet allows you to specify the following printing preferences.
■[Objective] (See p. 4-44)
Selecting the appropriate objective for the contents of the job allows you to perform 
optimum printing.
•Standard: This mode is best suited to printing documents containing a mixture of text, 
photographs, and graphics. It produces printouts that match what you see on the screen.
•Text/Lines: This mode is best suited to printing...

Using the toner save mode may decrease print density making printed text look patchy.

This sheet displays the printer name and allows you to print a test page.

This sheet allows you to configure printer port settings, add drivers, modify spooling 
settings, etc.

[Sharing] Sheet
This sheet allows you to specify whether or not to share the printer.
NOTE
•For Windows 98/Me, the [Sharing] sheet does not appear if [File and printer sharing for 
Microsoft Networks] has not been added in the network settings. (See p. 3-48)
•For Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003, the [Sharing] sheet does not appear if the network 
has not been configured. (See p. 3-53)

This sheet allows you to confirm the access permissions for each user.
NOTE
•On Windows XP Professional, the [Security] sheet is not displayed if the [Use simple file 
sharing (Recommended)] checkbox is checked in the [View] sheet of the Windows 
[Folder Options] settings.
•On Windows XP Home Edition, the [Security] sheet is not displayed.
