25 How to Place Documents Scanning multiple documents Standard paper feeding should be used when scanning multiple documents of a standard size at one time. Standard paper feeding enables multiple documents to be fed while separating each page. 1Open the document eject tray. 2Pull out the eject support. When placing long documents, pull out the document eject extension support to match the length of those documents. Also, stand the eject stopper at the end of the eject support if necessary....

26 4Adjust the document guides to fit the width of the document to be scanned. 5Place the document. After placing the document, align the document guides with both edges of the document. IMPORTANT When placing documents into the feed tray, take care not to cut your hand on the edges of the paper. 28 Placing Thin Paper (Thin Paper Mode) When placing a document with thin paper, switch the mode of the scanner to thin paper mode. In thin paper mode, the placed document is fed in a manner that prevents it from being damaged. 30 Placing Folded Documents Folio Scan enables you to scan documents that are larger than LTR/ A4 and therefore do not fit in the feeder. To use the function, fold the document in half lengthwise and place it into the feeder.
