101 S Selecting the AF Point N When shooting a portrait up close, use One-Shot AF and focus the eyes. If you focus the eyes first, you can then recompose and the face will remain sharp. If it is difficult to focus, sel ect and use the center AF point. The center AF point is the most sensitive among the nine AF points. 108 D Using the Built-in Flash If the subject is far away, increase the ISO speed (p.92). By increasing the ISO speed, you can extend the flash range. In bright light, decrease the ISO speed. If the exposure setting in the viewfinder blinks, decrease the ISO speed. Detach the lens hood and do not get too close to the subject.
