Using an SD Card 42 Initializing an SD Card The first time you use an SD card with this camcorder, initialize it first. You can also initialize an SD card to permanently delete all the data it contains. Using an SD Card 44 Recovering Data on an SD Card Some actions, such as suddenly turning off the camcorder or removing the SD card while data is being recorded, can cause data errors on the SD card. In such case, you may be able to recover the data on the SD card. 3 47 Recording Recording Video This section explains the recording basics. Before you begin recording, make a test recording first to check if the camcorder operates correctly. Record an AVCHD clip at 28 Mbps for approximately 25 minutes and an MP4 clip at 35 Mbps for approximately 20 minutes (A54).
