A - 13 APPENDIXES 2Pull out the power cord from the AC power outlet/socket and then the printer. 3Remove any paper from the center output tray (1) and return the paper stopper to its original position if it is raised (2). 4Pull all the paper trays out of the printer. 5Remove the fasteners found at the 2 locations inside the printer and at the 2 locations at the back of the printer.

APPENDIXES A - 16 Duplex Unit (DX-8000) You can install an optional duplex unit to this printer. Be sure to switch off the power and unplug the power cord from the outlet before carrying out the operations. If not, you might get an electrical shock. Installing the Duplex Unit 1Turn off the printer power switch. 2Pull out the power cord from the AC power outlet/socket and then the printer. 3Remove the packing that protects the DX connector. A - 17 APPENDIXES 4Push in the packing cover from the printer by pushing the two tabs as shown in the illustration. 5Insert the right and left tabs at the bottom of the duplex unit into the holes at the back of the printer and then align the top part of the duplex unit with the printer.
