    The following reset function are available:

    You can reset all the machine settings 
    back to the settings that were set at the 
    factory.
    Brother strongly recommends you use this 
    operation when you dispose of the 
    machine.
    How to reset the machineB

    Initial Setup .
    Press  OK.
    cPress  a or  b to choose  Reset.
    Press  OK.
    dPress  OK to reset  All Settings .
    Press  + to confirm.

    Entering TextC
    You may need to enter text into the machine, for example, when you set the time and date or name 
    a scanned file.
    Entering numbers and lettersC
     
    Press a, b, d or c to select the number or letter you want to choose, and press OK. Repeat for 
    each character until the number or name is complete and then press a, b, d or c to select  , 
    and press OK.
    Inserting spacesC
    To enter a space in a Name, select   and press OK.
    Inserting symbolsC
    Press a, b, d or c to select  , and press OK to display symbols. Press a, b, d or c to select the 
    symbol you want to choose, and press OK.
    If you want to return to the numbers and letters display, press a, b, d or c to select  , and press 
    OK.
    Making correctionsC
    If you entered an incorrect number or letter and want to change it, press a, b, d or c to select   
    or . 
    Press OK several times to move the cursor under the incorrect character. Then press a, b, d or c 
    to select  , and press OK. Re-enter the correct letter.
