Connecting to power
With the proper insert installed, you can now plug in the 
system. 
1. Insert the connector into the jack on the back of the 
system.
2. Insert the small connector end of the power cable into the 
jack on the power pack.
3. Plug the other end of this cord into a wall outlet.Using the system

Using the remote
Touch any button (except Off) to turn on the SoundDock 
system.
Skip/scan back

Maintaining the system
Changing the remote control battery is the only regular 
maintenance that is required.  You may also clean the system.
Replacing the remote battery 
When the remote stops operating or its range seems 
reduced, it is time to change the remote battery.

Troubleshooting 
ProblemWhat to do
Your iPod/iPhone does not dock 
properly  Remove your iPod/iPhone from the dock and check 
for obstructions on the connectors in the dock 
and on your iPod/iPhone. Then reseat it in the dock.
 Remove your iPod/iPhone from the dock, wait five se conds, then firmly reseat it. You may need to do 
this a few times.
 Make sure the insert provided by Apple with your  iPod/iPhone...

No sound after quickly undocking or 
docking your iPod/iPhone  Remove your iPod/iPhone from the dock, wait 
five seconds, and return it to the dock.
