6 GETTING STARTED This appliance is intended for household use onl\3y. • Remove all packing material and stickers. • Remove and save literature. • Go to www.prodprotect.com/applica to register your product. • Wash all removable parts as instructed in CARE A\fD CLEA\fI\fG section of this manual. • Assemble your steamer using the Steamer Assembly instructions below. 7 USING THE RICE BOWL 1. Add into the rice bowl: dry rice, and water (or broth) according to package directions, plus any desired seasonings. 2. Place the filled rice bowl into the bottom steaming basket. 3. Place lid on steaming basket. NOTE: \bhen using multiple\, steaming baskets, alwa\fs cook rice on the lowest level. 8 CAUT\bON: Burn Hazard. Hot steam is emitted through vents in VENTED STEAMING LID. 5. Press the Start/Stop button to begin steaming. The timer will count down in one-minute increments. 6. 9 Steaming • Arrange food in a single layer • Uniformly cut foods will steam more evenly. • Stir food halfway through a longer steam cycle for more even steaming. • Foods that require longer cooking times should be placed in lower steaming baskets. • Place foods that require gentle steaming or shorter cooking times in higher steamer baskets. • Foods steamed in the higher baskets, may take longer to cook than if placed in lower baskets. • Use the rice bowl to cook any foods in a sauce or liquid....
