NOTE: Before first use, remove any labels or stickers, on the body or sole- plate of the iron. On first use only, iron over an old cotton cloth using steps 1 thru 5 below on setting 5 or above (and the SURGE button for models with that function) to remove any protective surface treatments. 1. For all models, move the Temperature Selector Dial to the appropriate setting for your fabric (C). Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on but not in use. 4.
