IMPORTANT SAfEGUARDS
When	using	your	iron,	 basic	 safety	 precautions	 should	always	 be	followed,	
including	 the	following:
❍	Read	 all	instructions	 before	using.
❍	Use	 iron	only	 for	its	intended	 use.	
❍	To	 protect	 against	 a	risk	 of	electric	 shock,	do	not	 immerse	 the	iron	 in	
water	 or	other	 liquid.
❍	The	 iron	should	 always	 be	turned	 off	[0]	(refer	 to	Ho W	T o	USe 	section)	
before	 plugging	 into	or	unplugging	 from	an	outlet.	 Never	yank	cord	to	
disconnect	 from	outlet;	 instead	 grasp	plug	and	pull	 to	disconnect.
❍	do	 not	 allow	 cord	to	touch	 hot	surfaces.	let	 iron	cool	 completely	 before	
putting	 away.	loop	 cord	loosely	 around	 iron	when	 storing.
❍	Always	 disconnect	 iron	from	 electrical	 outlet	when	filling	 with	or	emptying	
of	 water	 and	when	 not	in	use.
❍	do	 not	 operate	 iron	with	 a	damaged	 cord	or	if	the	 iron	 has	been	 dropped		
or	 damaged.	 To	avoid	 the	risk	 of	electric	 shock,	do	not	 disassemble	 the	
iron,	 take	it	to	 a	qualified	 serviceman	 for	examination	 and	repair.	 Incorrect	
reassembly	 can	cause	 a	risk	 of	electric	 shock	when	the	iron	 is	used.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS
❍	To	 avoid	 a	circuit	 overload,	 do	not	 operate	 another	 high-wattage	 appliance	
on	 the	 same	 circuit.
❍	If	 an	 extension	 cord	is	absolutely	 necessary,	 a	15-ampere	 and	120-volt,	
or	 7-ampere	 and	220-volt	 cord	should	 be	used.	 Cords	 rated	for	less	
amperage	 may	overheat.	 Care	should	 be	taken	 to	arrange	 the	cord	
	
so	 that	 it	cannot	 be	pulled	 or	tripped	 over.

ENGLISH
POLARIZED PLUG
This	appliance	 has	a	polarized	 plug	(one	blade	 is	wider	 than	the	other).	
To	 reduce	 the	risk	 of	electric	 shock,	this	plug	 is	intended	 to	fit	 into	 a	
polarized	 outlet	only	one	way.	 If	the	 plug	 does	 not	fit	fully	 into	the	outlet,	
reverse	 the	plug.	 If	it	still	 does	 not	fit,	contact	 a	qualified	 electrician.	do	
not	 attempt	 to	modify	 the	plug	 in	any	 way.
TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
Warning : This appliance is equipped with a tamper-resistant screw 
to prevent removal of the outer cover. To reduce the risk of fire or 
electric shock, do not attempt to remove the outer cover. There are 
no user-serviceable parts inside. Repair should be done only by 
authorized service personnel.
Note:  If	the	 power	 supply	 cord	is	damaged,	 it	should	 be	replaced	 by

How to Use
This	appliance 	is 	intended 	for 	household 	use 	only.
GETTING STARTED
•	Remove	 any	labels,	 stickers	 or	tags	 attached	 to	the	 body	 or	soleplate	 of	the	 iron.
•	 Please 	go 	to 	www.prodprotect.com/applica 	to 	register 	your 	warranty.
Note: 	Use 	ordinary 	tap 	water 	for 	ironing. 	do	not 	use 	water 	processed 	through 	a 	home	
softening 	system.
Important:  for optimum performance, let the iron stand for 90 seconds before 
beginning to iron.
Tip: 	If 	unsure 	of 	a 	garment's 	fiber, 	test 	a 	small 	area 	(on 	an 	inside 	seam 	or 	hem) 	before	ironing.
f ILLING WATER TANK
1.	open 	the 	water-fill 	cover 	
(A).
2.	 Tilt 	the 	iron 	and 	using 	a 	clean 	measuring 	cup, 	pour 	water 	into	
opening 	until 	the 	water 	reaches 	the 	MAX 	level 	mark 	on 	the	
water 	tank 	( b ).	d o	not 	overfill.
3.	 Close 	the 	water-fill 	cover.
4.	 Plug 	in 	the 	iron. 	A 	solid 	red 	light 	comes 	on 	and 	stays 	on 	until	
the 	set 	temperature 	is 	reach. 	once 	the 	set 	temperature 	is	
reached, 	the 	light 	turns 	solid 	green
 (C).
Note:  If	you 	need 	to 	add 	water 	while 	ironing, 	unplug 	the 	iron 	and	
follow 	above 	steps.
SPECIAL  fEATURES
Automatic Shutoff in 3 Positions
•	 Your	iron 	will 	automatically 	turn 	off 	after 	30 	seconds 	of	
inactivity 	if 	left 	on 	its 	soleplate 	or 	on 	its 	side. 	If 	left 	vertically 	on	
its 	heel 	rest, 	it 	will 	turn 	off 	after 	8 	minutes 	
(D).
•	 The 	unit 	beeps 	five 	times 	and 	there 	is 	a 	flashing 	red 	light 	to	
indicate 	the 	iron 	is 	in 	the 	automatic 	shutoff 	position.
•	 once 	you 	pick 	up 	the 	iron, 	the 	light 	will 	turn 	solid 	green 	again	
once 	the 	set 	temperature 	is 	reached. 	If 	the 	iron 	is 	not 	fully	
heated, 	a 	solid 	red 	light 	will 	appear; 	once 	the 	iron 	is 	ready, 	the	
light 	will 	turn 	solid 	green.
Note: 	Wait 	for 	iron 	to 	reheat 	completely 	before 	resuming 	operation.
Anti-Drip System 
The 	anti-drip 	system 	prevents 	water 	spotting 	at 	low 	temperatures.

IRONING WITH STEAM
Smart Steam® Technology
The	Smart 	Steam® 	system 	automatically 	generates 	the 	right 	amount 	of 	steam 	for 	the	
fabric 	type 	selected. 	once 	you 	select 	the 	temperature, 	the 	Smart 	Steam® 	technology	
detects 	the 	temperature 	and 	adjusts 	the 	steam 	power 	accordingly.	
Surge of Steam
Use 	to 	remove 	stubborn 	wrinkles.
1.	 With 	the 	water 	tank 	filled 	to 	the 	MAX 	mark, 	set 	fabric 	select 	dial	
to 	appropriate 	setting 	(between 	4 	and 	6) 	for 	your 	fabric 	
(E).
Note:  See	fabric 	guide 	under 	the 	heel 	rest 	and 	read 	the 	garment's	
label 	to 	help 	you 	determine 	fabric 	type.	
2.	 Be 	sure 	there 	is 	water 	in 	the 	tank. 	Steam 	is 	automatically 	turned	
off 	between 	settings 	0 	and 	3.
3.	 Press 	the 	steam 	button 	
	to 	generate 	a 	surge 	of 	steam 	( f ).	 For	
best 	performance, 	leave 	an 	interval 	of 	5 	seconds 	between 	bursts.
	 4.	 When 	finished 	ironing, 	turn 	the 	fabric 	select 	dial 	to 	0 	and 	unplug	
the 	iron.
Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered on but not in use.
Vertical Steam
Use 	for 	removing 	wrinkles 	from 	hanging 	clothes 	and 	drapes.
1.	 Be 	sure 	the 	water 	tank 	is 	filled 	to 	the 	MAX 	mark.
2.	 Hang 	the 	garment 	to 	be 	steamed 	on 	a 	clothes 	hanger. 	(Curtains 	or 	drapes 	can 	be	
steamed 	once 	they 	are 	hung.)
3.	 Turn 	the 	fabric 	select 	dial 	to 	appropriate 	setting 	(between 	4 	and 	6) 	for 	your 	fabric.
4.	 Hold 	the 	iron 	close 	to 	(but 	not 	touching) 	the 	fabric.
5.	 Pull 	the 	fabric 	tight 	in 	your 	free 	hand 	and 	pump 	the 	steam
		
button 	as 	you 	move 	the 	iron 	over 	the 	fabric 	(G).
Important: Always stand the iron on its heel rest when powered  on but not in use.
USING SPRAY
Use	to 	dampen 	tough 	wrinkles 	at 	any 	setting 	
(H).
1.	 Be 	sure 	the 	iron 	is 	filled 	with 	water.
2.	 on	first 	use, 	pump 	the 	spray 	button 	
	several 	times.
IRONING WITHOUT STEAM
1.	 Turn	the 	fabric 	select 	dial 	to 	setting 	between 	settings 	0 	and	
3 	to 	iron 	without 	steam 	
(J).	 The 	Smart 	Steam® 	system 	will	
automatically 	turn 	off.	
2.	 To 	dry 	iron 	at 	higher 	settings, 	empty 	the 	water 	from 	the 	tank	
to 	prevent 	steaming.
EMPTYING WATER TANK (OPTIONAL)
Note: 	It 	is 	not 	necessary 	to 	empty 	the 	water 	after 	each 	use.
1.	 Unplug 	the 	iron 	and 	let 	it 	cool.
2.	 open 	the 	water-fill 	cover.
3.	 To 	release 	the 	water, 	hold 	the 	iron 	over 	a 	sink 	with 	the 	tip	
pointing 	down. 	Water 	will 	empty 	out 	of 	the 	water-fill 	opening	
(K).
Care and Cleaning
This 	product 	contains 	no 	user-serviceable 	parts. 	Refer 	service 	to 	qualified 	service	personnel.
CLEANING OUTSIDE SUR fACES
1.	 Make 	sure 	iron 	is 	unplugged 	and 	has 	cooled 	completely.	
2.	 Wipe 	the 	soleplate 	and 	outer 	surfaces 	with 	a 	soft 	cloth 	dampened 	with 	water.	
3.	 Add 	mild 	household 	detergent. 	Never 	use 	abrasives, 	heavy-duty 	cleansers, 	vinegar	
	
or 	scouring 	pads 	that 	may 	scratch 	or 	discolor 	the 	iron.
4.	 After 	cleaning, 	steam 	iron 	over 	an 	old 	cloth 	to 	remove 	any 	residue 	from 	the 	steam	
vents.
AUTO CLEAN® SYSTEM
To 	keep 	the 	steam 	vents 	free 	of 	any 	buildup, 	about 	once 	a 	month 	follow 	these	
instructions.
1.	 Fill 	the 	water 	tank 	well 	below 	the 	MAX 	line. 	Plug 	in 	the 	iron.
2.	 Turn 	the 	fabric 	select 	dial 	to 	6 	and 	stand 	the 	iron 	on 	its 	heel 	rest. 	Allow 	it 	to 	heat
3.	 Turn 	fabric 	select 	dial 	to 	0, 	unplug 	the 	iron 	and 	hold 	over 	a 	sink 	with 	the 	soleplate	
facing 	down.
4.	 Press	and 	hold 	the 	AUT o	Cle AN
®	button. 	Be 	careful, 	as 	after	
several 	seconds, 	hot 	water 	and 	steam 	will 	come 	out 	of 	the	
steam 	vents 	
(L).	 Continue 	to 	hold 	the 	AUT o	Cle AN®	button	
until 	all 	the 	water 	has 	emptied. 	If 	necessary, 	rock 	iron 	side 	to	
side 	and 	front 	to 	back.
5.	 When 	finished, 	release 	the 	button, 	stand 	the 	iron 	on 	its 	heel	
rest 	and 	plug 	it 	in.	
6.	 Heat 	the 	unit 	for 	about 	2 	minutes 	to 	dry 	out 	any 	remaining	
water.	
STORING YOUR IRON
1.	 Unplug	the 	iron 	and 	allow 	it 	to 	cool.
2.	 Check 	that 	the 	fabric 	select 	dial 	is 	set 	to 	0.
3.	 Press 	and 	hold 	the 	cord 	reel 	button 	to 	retract 	the 	cord 	
(M).
4.	 Store 	vertically 	on 	its 	heel 	to 	prevent 	water 	leaking 	from 	the	
soleplate.

Nota: 	Utilice	 agua	de	la	llave	 para	llenar	 el	tanque	 de	la	plancha.	 No	utilice	 agua	
procesada	 por	un	ablandador	 de	agua	 doméstico.
Importante: Para óptimo rendimiento, se recomienda dejar reposar la plancha durante 90 segundos antes de comenzar a planchar. 
Consejo: 	Para	 evitar	 daño	a	las	 prendas,	 si	desconoce	 la	fibra	 de	cierto	 tejido,	 ensaye	
primero	 sobre	una	superficie	 pequeña	y	planche	 una	costura	 o	ruedo	 interior.
LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA
1.	Abra	 la	tapa	 del	orificio	 de	llenado	(A).
2.	 Incline	 la	plancha	 y	con	 una	 taza	 de	medir	 limpia,	 vierta	
agua	 en	el	orificio	 hasta	alcanzar	 la	marca	 de	llenado	 MAX	
en	 el	tanque	 (b).	No	 exceda	 el	nivel	 de	llenado.
3.	 Cierre	 la	tapa	 del	orificio	 de	llenado.
Nota: 	Si	 tiene	 que	agregar	 agua	durante	 el	proceso	 de	
planchado,	 desconecte	 la	plancha	 y	siga	 los	pasos	 indicados	
arriba.
4.	enchufe	 la	plancha.	 Una	luz	roja	 se	ilumina	 y	permanece	 así	
hasta	 que	la	plancha	 alcanza	la	temperatura	 deseada.	Una	
vez	 que	 esto	 ocurra	 la	luz	 se	ilumina	 en	verde

fUNCIONES ESPECIALES
Apagado automático en tres posiciones
•	Su	 plancha	 se	apaga	 automáticamente	 si	permanece	
inactiva	 sobre	la	suela	 o	de	 lado	 durante	 30	segundos.		
la	 plancha	 también	 se	apaga	 si	permanece	 inactiva	
verticalmente	 sobre	el	talón	 de	descanso	 durante	8	minutos

caliente,	 una	luz	roja	 se	enciende;	 cuando	la	plancha	 está	lista,	 la	luz	 cambia	 a	
verde.

SISTEMA A PRUEbA DE GOTEO  
el	 sistema	 a	prueba	 de	goteo	 evita	las	manchas	 de	agua	 que	puede	 ocasionar	 la	plancha	
a	 temperaturas	 bajas.
PLANCHADO A VAPOR 
Tecnología Smart Steam® 
el	sistema	 Smart	Steam®	 produce	la	cantidad	 de	vapor	 apropiado	 automáticamente	
según	 el	tipo	 de	tejido	 determinado.	 Una	vez	que	 uno	 ajusta	 la	temperatura,	 el	sistema	
Smart	 Steam®	 detecta	la	temperatura	 y	ajusta	 la	emisión	 de	vapor	 respectivamente.
Emisión de vapor
Apropiado	 para	deshacer	 las	arrugas	 persistentes.
1.	llene	 el	tanque	 de	agua	 hasta	 alcanzar	 la	marca	 de	llenado	
MAX	 y	ajuste	 el	selector	 de	tejidos	 entre	el	nivel	 4	y	6,	 según	 el	
tejido	 de	la	prenda.	 Consulte	 la	guía	 de	tejidos	 debajo	del	talón	
de	 descanso	 de	la	plancha	 y	lea	 la	etiqueta	 de	la	prenda	 para	
determinar	 el	tipo	 de	tejido	
(E).
2.	 Asegúrese	 de	que	 haya	 agua	 en	el	tanque.	la	 emisión	de	vapor	
se	 apaga	 automáticamente	 entre	el	nivel	 0	y	3.
3.	 Para	 mejor	rendimiento,	 presione	el	botón	 de	vapor
		en	
intervalos	 de	5	segundos	 (f).
4.	 Cuando	 termine	de	planchar,	 ajuste	el	selector	 de	tejidos	 a	la	
posición	 “0”	y	desconecte	 la	plancha.
Importante: Siempre coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso cuando esté encendida o no en uso.
Vapor vertical
Utilice	 para	suavizar	 las	arrugas	 de	las	 prendas	 colgantes	 o	de	 las	 cortinas.
1.	 Asegúrese	 de	que	 el	tanque	 de	agua	 esté	lleno	 hasta	 el	nivel	 MAX.
2.	 Cuelgue	 la	prenda	 que	desea	 vaporizar	 en	un	 gancho.	 (Uno	puede	 vaporizar	 las	
cortinas	 una	vez	instaladas.)	
3.	 Ajuste	 el	selector	 al	nivel	 apropiado	 (entre	el	4	y	6),	 según	
	
el	 tejido.
4.	 Sujete	 la	plancha	 cerca,	pero	no	en	contacto	 con	el	tejido.
5.	 Hale	 el	tejido	 con	una	 mano	 y	bombee	 el	botón	 del	vapor	
	
con	 la	otra,	 a	medida	 pasa	la	plancha	 sobre	la	prenda	(G).
Importante: Siempre coloque la plancha sobre el talón de descanso cuando esté encendida pero no en uso.
USO DEL ROCIADOR 
Utilice	a	cualquier	 nivel	de	temperatura	 para	humedecer	 las	
arrugas	 persistentes	
(H).	
1.	 Asegúrese	 de	que	 el	tanque	 de	agua	 esté	lleno.
2.	Para	 el	primer	 uso,	bombee	 el	botón		varias	 veces.
PLANCHADO A SECO 
1.	Ajuste	 el	selector	 de	tejidos	 a	la	 posición	 entre	el	nivel	 0	y	3	
a	 fin	 de	planchar	 sin	vapor	(J).	el	 sistema	 Smart	Steam®	 se	
apaga	 automáticamente.
2.	Si	desea	 planchar	 en	seco	 a	temperaturas	 más	elevadas,	
vacíe	 el	tanque	 por	completo	 para	evitar	 la	emisión	 de	vapor.
VACIADO DEL TANQUE (OPCIONAL)
Nota: 	No	 es	necesario	 vaciar	el	tanque	 de	agua	 después	 de	cada	 uso.
1.	desconecte	 la	plancha	 y	permita	 que	se	enfríe.
2.	 Abra	 la	tapa	 del	orificio	 de	llenado	 del	tanque.
3.	 Para	 vaciar	 el	agua,	 sujete	 la	plancha	 con	la	punta	 hacia	
abajo	 sobre	 un	lavabo.	el	 agua	sale	a	través	 del	orificio	 de	
llenado	
(K).
Cuidado y limpieza
este	 producto	 no	contiene	 piezas	reparables	 por	el	consumidor.	 Para	servicio,	 acuda	a	
personal	 calificado.
LIMPIEZA DE LAS SUPERfICIES EXTERIORES
1.	 Asegúrese	 de	que	 la	plancha	 esté	desconectada	 y	que	 se	haya	 enfriado	 bien.	
2.	 limpie	 la	suela	 y	las	 superficies	 exteriores	con	un	paño	 suave	 humedecido	 con	
agua.
3.	 Aplique	 un	detergente	 doméstico	suave.	Jamás	 utilice	abrasivos,	 limpiadores	
fuertes,	 vinagre	ni	almohadillas	 de	fregar	 que	puedan	 rayar	o	decolorar	 la	plancha.
4.	 después	 de	limpiar,	 planche	 a	vapor	 sobre	 un	paño	 viejo	a	fin	 de	retirar	 cualquier	
residuo	 acumulado	 en	los	 orificios	 de	vapor.	
SISTEMA DE LIMPIEZA AUTOMÁTICA AUTO CLEAN®
A	fin	 de	mantener	 los	orificios	 de	vapor	 libres	 de	acumulaciones,	 siga	las	siguientes	
instrucciones	 por	lo	menos	 una	vez	al	mes.
1.	 llene	 el	tanque	 de	agua	 por	debajo	 de	la	línea	 MAX.	enchufe	 la	plancha.
2.	 Ajuste	 el	selector	 de	tejidos	 al	nivel	 6	y	coloque	 la	plancha	 sobre	el	talón	 de	
descanso.	 Permita	que	la	plancha	 se	caliente.
3.	 Gire	 el	selector	 de	tejidos	 a	la	 posición	 “0”,	desconecte	 y	sujete	 la	plancha	 sobre	
un	 lavabo	 con	la	suela	 orientada	 hacia	abajo.	
4.	Presione	 y	sostenga	 el	botón	 de	limpieza	 automática	 AUTo	
CleAN®.	 Tenga	 cuidado	 del	agua	 caliente	 y	del	 vapor	 que	
emiten	 los	orificios	 de	vapor	(L).	Continúe	 sosteniendo	 el	
botón	 de	limpieza	 automática	 AUTo	CleAN®	hasta	 vaciar	
toda	 el	agua.		 Si	es	 necesario,	 mueva	la	plancha	 de	lado	 a	
lado	 y	de	 atrás	 para	adelante.	
5.	Al	terminar,	 suelte	el	botón,	 coloque	 la	plancha	 sobre	el	
talón	 de	descanso	 y	enchúfela.	
6.	 Permita	 que	la	plancha	 se	caliente	 unos	dos	minutos	 hasta	secarse	 toda	el	agua	
sobrante.

ALMACENAMIENTO DE LA PLANCHA
1.	desconecte	 la	plancha	 y	espere	 que	se	enfríe.
2.	 Verifique	 que	el	selector	 de	temperatura	 esté	ajustado	 a	la	
posición	 “0”.
3.	Presione	 y	sostenga	 el	botón	 de	cable	 retractable	(M).
4.	Coloque	 la	plancha	 verticalmente	 sobre	el	talón	 de	descanso	
para	 evitar	 que	la	suela	 gotee.
