    POLARIZED PLUG (120V mod\bls only)
    T\bis appliance \bas a polarized plug (one 
    blade is wider t\ban t\be ot\ber). To reduce 
    t\be risk of electric s\bock, t\bis plug is 
    intended to fit into a polarized outlet only 
    one way. If t\be plug does not fit fully into 
    t\be outlet, reverse t\be plug. If it still does 
    not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do 
    not attempt to modify t\be plug in any way.
    TAMPER-RESISTANT SCREW
    Wa\fning:  T\bis appliance is equipped 
    wit\b a tamper-resistant screw to prevent 
    removal of t\be outer cover. To reduce 
    t\be risk of fire or electric s\bock, do not 
    attempt to remove t\be outer cover. T\bere 
    are no user-serviceable parts inside. 
    Repair s\bould be done only by aut\borized 
    service personnel. ELECTRICAL CORD
    1. A s\bort power-supply cord is provided 
    to reduce t\be risk resulting from becoming 
    entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
    2. Extension cords may be used if care is

    BEFORE GRINDING
    1. Register your product at  
    www.prodprotect.com/applica
    2.  Carefully unpack your Burr Mill grinder.  Remove all 
    packaging materials, labels, stickers and t\be plastic 
    band around t\be power plug.
    \f.  T\boroug\bly clean all removable parts of your grinder.  
    Rinse and dry t\bese parts prior to placing t\bem back 
    into your grinder. See t\be Care and Cleaning section 
    of t\bis manual for assistance.
    4.  Remove any foreign objects or debris from t\be inside 
    t\be grinding c\bamber and grounds container.
     
    GRINDING OPERATIONS
    1. Make sure t\be grinding c\bamber is empty and clean.
    2.  Ensure t\bat t\be grounds container and its lid are 
    secured in place in t\be cut-out underneat\b t\be 
    power button. (A)
     
    Not\b:  \bs a built-in sa\fety \function, the grinder will not 
    operate i\f the grounds container is not securely in place .   
    \f.  Fill t\be grinding c\bamber wit\b w\bole coffee beans. (B)
     
    Not\b:  Do not \fill the grinding chamber past the M\bX \fill line.  
    4.  Plug grinder into a standard electrical outlet.
    5.  Securely place t\be grinding c\bamber lid in place over 
    grinding c\bamber. (C)
     
    Not\b:  \bs a built in sa\fety \function, the grinder will not 
    \function i\f the grinding chamber lid is not securely 
    pressed in place.  
    6.  Set t\be grind selection dial to your desired grind 
    coarseness. (D)
    7.   Using t\be arrow printed on t\be outer ring, turn t\be 
    cup selection knob to align wit\b t\be number of coffee 
    cups you intend to brew. (E)
     
    Not\b:  The larger the cup selection, the longer the 
    grinder will run. 
    8.  Press in t\be power button 
    . T\be grinder will 
    dispense ground coffee according to t\be number of 
    cups selected. 
    9.  Clean your Burr Mill grinder according to t\be 
    instructions in t\be Care and Cleaning section.

    GRINDING GUIDELINES
    Selecting Grind Sett\Ging:
    T\be proper grind is impor\Àtant for t\be best coffee flavor. T\be quicker t\be 
    brewing process, t\be finer t\be grind \Àused. Coffee t\bat is ground too fine for 
    a particular brewing process will result in bitter tasting coffee. Coffee t\bat is 
    ground too coarse will result in weak, watery coffee.

    CARE AND CLEANING
     
    Basic Cleaning
    Follow t\be directions below to clean your Burr Mill 
    grinder after eac\b use. 
    1. Make sure your grinder is unplugged.
    2.  Discard any remaining w\bole beans from t\be grinding 
    c\bamber.
    \f.  Discard any remaining grounds from t\be grounds 
    container. 
    4.  Remove grinding c\bamber lid, grinding w\beel (F), grounds container and 
    grinding c\bamber lid.
     
    Not\b:  To remove grinding wheel, simultaneously pull and twist grinding wheel 
    clockwise. To insert grinding wheel back into the grinding chamber, push and 
    twist the grinding wheel counter-clockwise. 
    5.  Wipe t\be outside of t\be grinder and power cord wit\b a damp clot\b.
    6.  Was\b eac\b part of t\be grinder using t\be directions in t\be c\bart below.
     
    Caution: Do not use abrasive cleansers or scouring pads on this \hproduct.   
    Never immerse this product in water.  Do not oil or sharpen the\h grinding blades.

    TROUBLESHOOTING
