7.  Remove 2 screws (no1; M2.5x4) on Quick button board and disconnect cable as 
well. Then separate Q-button board from Top case. 
 
 
 
8.  Disconnect Touch Pad cable (no1).   
 
 
 
 
 
 
9.  Finally, lift the top cover up to release the top cover and bottom case.

Base cover module 
The illustrations below show how to disassemble and remove the bottom case module 
of the notebook.    The module contains the bottom case itself, Top shielding, and 
optical device. 
 
 
Removing top shielding 
1. Remove 1 screw (no1; M2.5x4.0) and 4 NUT screws from IO port to unlock top 
shielding. Also disconnect MIC cable from M/B (no3). 
 
 
 
 
 
Removing speaker set 
1. Disconnect left side speaker cable from M/B.

Removing Motherboard module 
1.  Remove 2 screws (no1; M2.5x4.0) from motherboard. 
 
 
 
2.  Remove PCMCIA socket from PCMCIA. Connector.

Removing Wireless Module 
1.  Remove 2 screws (no1; M2.5x4.0) and remove MiniPCI door. 
2.  Remove antenna (no2) from Wireless card. 
 
 
 
 
 
Removing M/B Module 
1.  Carefully to pry out left side to remove 1394 jacks first (no.1) then remove IO port 
(no.2) from front side to separate the M/B from base unit.
