MacBook Pro Take Apart —Thermal Sensors 113 Procedure There are two thermal sensors, each requiring precise placement. One sensor is attached to the bottom case and one to the heatsink. Note: The bottom case sensor has a 90 mm cable, and the heatsink sensor has a 60 mm cable.For either sensor, peel back any Kapton tape, then before removing the board, mark the 1. outline of its position with a permanent fine-point felt-tip marker.
