Removing the Camera and IR Cable 
Remove the two-headed end of the cable from the access hole in the upper EMI shield. 
1.  
Remove the tape (under the optical drive) that secures the cable to the rear housing and

disconnect the cable from the logic board. Remove the camera cable.

Replacing the Camera and IR Cable
Insert the two-headed end of the camera cable through the access hole in the upper EMI

shield.
Route the camera cable as shown below. Tape the camera cable to the rear housing.  
2.  
Connect the camera cable to the logic board connector.
3. 
Replace the optical drive, flex drive cable and screws, and optical drive sensor cable.
4.  
Replace the logic board.
5. 
Replace the speakers.
6.  
Replace the display panel.
7.  
Replace the IR Board. Connect the camera cable to the IR board.
8.  
Replace the lower EMI shield.
9. 
Replace the front bezel.
10.  
Replace the memory access door.

Replace the front bezel.

Removing the Bluetooth Antenna
Carefully peel back the EMI shield and the EMI tape from the rear housing to access the

antenna.   
Using a black stick, pry the antenna board off the rear housing.

Replacing the Bluetooth Antenna
Position the antenna board into the rear housing, with the antenna wire on the right side.

Compress the sticky side of the antenna board to the housing until securely fastened.
Adhere the exposed section of antenna wire to the inside (side wall) of the rear cover with a

piece of EMI tape (see below). Make sure the antenna wire is positioned correctly so it 
reaches the antenna connector on the Bluetooth board (on the top side of the logic board).    
Replace the logic board.

Replace the speakers.

Replace the display panel.
5. 
Reconnect the AirPort and Bluetooth antennas.
6.  
Replace the lower EMI shield.
7.  
Replace the front bezel.
8.  
Replace the memory.

Removing the wireless antenna requires using the following tools:Flat-blade screwdriver

Removing the AirPort Extreme Antennas
To remove the left antenna, carefully peel back the EMI tape from the rear housing as shown

below. Peel back just enough EMI shield to access the antenna board. Using a flat-blade 
screwdriver or black stick, pry the antenna board off the rear housing.  
Repeat step 1 to remove the right antenna.

Remove any other tape that secures the antenna cables to the rear housing. Pull the antenna

cable(s) through the access hole at the top of the EMI shield, near the antenna board.

Replacing the AirPort Extreme Antennas
Locate the antenna mounting channel inside the left and/or right corner of the rear housing,

and position the antenna board in the channel. Compress the sticky side of the antenna 
board to the housing until securely fastened.
Route the antenna cables through the EMI shield.

Secure the antenna cables to the rear housing with tape.
3. 
Replace the CPU fan. 
4.  
Replace the logic board.
5. 
Replace the optical drive.
6.  
Replace the speakers.
7.  
Replace the display panel.
8.  
Replace the lower EMI shield.

Replace the front bezel.
