Removing the CPU Fan 
Once the logic board and speakers have been removed, the fan will be disconnected.  Lift the fan 
straight up and out of the rear housing.

Replacing the CPU Fan
Lower the fan onto the white standoffs in the rear housing. Push it down snug onto the

Replace the logic board.

Replace the speakers.

Replace the display panel.

Replace the IR Board.
5. 
Replace the antennas.
6.  
Replace the lower EMI shield.
7.  
Replace the front bezel.
8.  
Replace the memory access door.

Removing the Inverter 
1.  Remove the T10 screw located in the bottom left corner on the inverter board. ..  
Flip over the inverter board to locate the inverter-to-DC cable connector. Disconnect the

cable; lift the inverter out of the rear housing.

Replacing the Inverter 
Connect the
1.    inverter cable to the DC cable . Tuck the cable under the inverter board as you 
flip the inverter over to the left.  
2.  Replace the inverter screw.  
Replace the hard drive. Connect the two hard drive cables.
3. 
Replace the logic board.

Removing the Ambient Light Sensor Board 
With a black stick, remove the rubber bumper between the chassis and the ambient light

sensor board.  
With the rubber bumper gone, use a black stick, pry the ambient light sensor off the inside

of the rear housing.  Note: Never poke the ambient light or you could damage the sensor 
board.

Replace the Ambient Light Sensor Board
Press the sticky side of the ambient light sensor board to the bottom inside edge of the rear

Install the rubber bumper between the back of the sensor board and the chassis.

Replace the logic board.

Replace the speakers.
4.  
Replace the display panel.
5. 
Replace the lower EMI shield.
6.  
Replace the front bezel.
7.  
Replace the memory access door.
