Removing the DC Power/SATA/Inverter Cable
Tape the microphone cable to the top of the rear housing. This will keep the cable out of the 1.

On the top left side of the chassis, pull the AC power inlet cable from under the pressure 2.

3. Remove the ten T10 chassis screws. One screw is under the black mylar tape that holds the 
optical cable in place. Note: The three screws along the top of the chassis have a flatter head 
than the other self tapping screw.
With a black stick or your fingernail, peel up the EMI tape attached to the rear housing so 4. 
you can lift the chassis out of the rear housing.

Remove the chassis from the rear housing. Pull the green ground cable through the opening

Remove the T8 screw on the cable guide.

Before removing the cable, note how the cable routes between the black guide posts on the 8.

Replacing the DC Power/SATA/Inverter Cable
Install the DC power/SATA/inverter cable into the rear housing as shown below.1. 
In the top left corner of the rear housing, position the cable between the black guide posts. 2.  
Secure the cable in place with the clear Kapton tape. Route the inverter power cable off to 
the right, above the AirPort antenna can, see step 6.

In the middle of the rear housing, continue laying the cable between the black guide posts.

Secure the cable with the Kapton tape .
Position the plastic cable guide (with foam) over the cable. Replace the T8 screw. 4.
 Note: Make 
sure the cable guide is flush with the rear housing. If the cable guide is not seating properly, 
make sure the cable is situated properly between the black guide posts.

Toward the bottom of the rear housing, continue laying the cable between the black guide

posts. Secure the cable with the Kapton tape. Note: The AC inlet cable should be positioned 
in between the guide posts as well. The AC cable does not need to be removed for this 
procedure.

 Replace the Kapton tape securing the inverter cable to the rear housing.

Position the chassis into the rear housing.

Pull the AC ground wire through the hole in the chassis.8.

Connect the inverter cable to the inverter.

Route the microphone cable under the chassis up to the AC power inlet, then route it up 10.
 
through the chassis so it rests in the notch next to the AC ground wire.

11 . Replace the ten chassis screws. Begin with the three screws along the top (922-8250), then 
replace the remaining six self-tapping screws (922-6850) followed by the short AC ground 
screw.
Slip the AC inlet cable back under the pressure wall.12.
