iMac (20-inch Early 2008) Take Apart — Clutch Mechanism 186 Removing the Clutch Mechanism 1. Using a Torx T10 screwdriver, remove the four clutch mounting screws. Peel back the mesh EMI tape on the mechanism.2. Lift the clutch mechanism off the chassis and out of the rear housing.3. 922-7020

Adjust the clutch so that its chassis mounting holes align, and install the four screws that secure the clutch to the chassis. Replace the strips of EMI tape on each side of the mechanism, press it into place.2. Locate the computer stand. Slide the top of the stand through the opening in the rear 3. housing of the computer. Align the pins on the clutch mechanism to the holes in the stand. 4. 922-7020
