3. Use the Up/Down button to select One to lock the 
selected pcture or vdeo, or select All to protect all 
pctures/vdeos stored  n the bult-n memory or memory 
card.

pcture/vdeo, use Unlock opton to unlock t.

6.  Select Reset on the Protect

protecton for all files that have been placed n the 
protected mode.
DeleteThere are three ways to delete files.
• Delete One:
1.
  In the Delete Opton, select One and then press  
 
button.
2.
  Press the Left/Rght button to locate the photo or vdeo 
to be deleted. Press the Up/Down button to select

menu) and then press

• Delete All:
1.
  In the Delete opton, select All and then press  
 
button.

  Use Up/Down button to select Yes to delete all files, or 
select Back to return to the menu.
• Delete Date Folder:
1.

  In the Delete opton, press 
 button after selectng 
Date Folder.
2.

  Use the Up/Down button to select Date Folder to be 
deleted, press 
 to confirm, press the Up/Down 
button to select tem (Yes: to delete the file, Back: to 
return to the menu) and then press 
 to confirm.
The “
” ndcator means a file s protected. Fle 
protecton must be removed first before a file can be 
deleted.
Delet

ng files wll cause DPOF settngs to be reset.
DPOF (Digital Print Order Format)
DPOF allows you to record your selecton of pctures that 
you would lke to prnt, and wll save your selecton n the 
memory card, so that you can smply hand your memory 
card to a photo kosk wthout havng to tell them n person 
whch photos you would lke to prnt.

Trim
The Trm settng allows you select an area of the photo you 
want to keep and then save t as a new photo.
To trm a pcture:
1. Select the  Trim sett
ng from the  menu.
2.  Usng the  Left/Right buttons, locate the photo that you 
want to crop and have 
 t dsplayed on the LCD.
3.  Use the zoom buttons and navgaton buttons to adjust 
the trmmng box to fit the locaton and sze of the new 
pcture.
4. “Save Changes?” prompt wll dsplay after pressng  
button, select “O” to confirm the changes and save the 

 mage, or select “X” to cancel the changes and return to 
the screen of trm prompt.
The  m
age can not be cl pped aga n when  t  s cl pped 
to 640X480.
Resize
Th s  sett ng  allows  you  to  res ze  a  p cture  to  a  spec f ed 
resoluton, and saves t as a new pcture.
1.  Select  the  Resize
 
 settng  from  the  Playback
  menu  as 
descr
bed prevously.
2.  Use  the  Left/Right
  navgat on  buttons  to  select  a 
pcture to resze.
3.  Use the  Up/Down
 nav
 gaton buttons to select a 
resoluton ( 1024X768
 or 640X480
) to res ze the mage 
or  Back
 to cancel and return to the  Playback
 menu.
4.
  Press the 
 button to confirm the settng.
Reszng an mage creates a new file that contans 
the mage n the sze you select. The file wth the 
orgnal mage also remans n memory.

If the message “The mage cannot be edted.” 
appears, t means that the current mage cannot be 
reszed.
Rotate
You can use ths settng to change the pcture orentaton 
of the pcture.
1. Select the  Rotate sett
 ng from the Playback menu as 
descr
bed prevously.
2.  Use the Left/Right nav
 gaton buttons to select a 
pcture to rotate.
3.  Use the  Up/Down nav
 gaton buttons to select the 
drecton for rotaton or Back to cancel and return to 
the Playback menu.
4.  Press the  button to confirm the settng.
Red-eye Reduction
Use ths settng to remove red-eyes n your photos.
1. Select the  Red-eye Reduction 
 n Playback menu as 
descr
bed prevously.
2.  Use the Left/Right button to select the p
 cture from 
whch the red-eye needs to be removed.
3.  Use the Up/Down nav
 gaton buttons to select Yes to 
fix the selected 
mage or Back to cancel and return to 
the Playback menu.
4.  Press the  button to confirm the settng.
For best results, the face of the subject should be 
relat
 vely large on the LCD screen, the subject should 
be facng the camera as front on as possble, and the 
red eyes should be as large as possble.

Ths settng allows you to vew all the stored pctures as a 
sldeshow.

  Select the sldeshow menu, press the rght button to 
enter the optons menu.
2.  Use the  Up/Down

 gaton buttons to select Effect, 
Interval tme, or Repeat and use the  Left / Right

gaton buttons to adjust the settng.
3.  Use the Up/Down nav gaton buttons to select Start to 
run the sl
deshow or Cancel to return to the Playback 
menu.

Wallpaper Settings
Use ths settng to select your favorte pcture to use as a 
background on the LCD screen.

.  Press Down button to select the Wallpaper Sett ng menu. 
2.  Press Rght button, and the camera wll enter the 
Wallpaper Sett ng nterface.

Setup Menu
Mode : AUTO        
The Setup menu for the camera s avalable n all modes. 
Each menu page can be selected by pressng the  
button and swtchng between menus wth the Left/Rght 
button.
To adjust the settngs:
1.  Select the menu page wth the functon you want to 
adjust and press the Down button. 2.
  
Swtch between dfferent functons wth the Up/Down 
button.

  Press the Right button to enter the submenu.
After select

ng a functon opton, you can press the 
Up button to return to the menu for other Camera 
Setup pages. Or you can press the Down button to

Beep
Use ths sett ng to adjust the volume of beep when buttons 
are pressed and change the tones for Shutter button, self-
t mer, and power-on/power-off.
To change ths settng:
1.  Select the  Beep

2.  Use the  Up/Down

 gaton buttons to swtch 
between volume, shutter, key, self-tmer, and power 
fields.
3.  Press the Rght button, press the Up/Down button

LCD Brightness
Use ths settng to adjust the brghtness of your LCD 
screen.

2.  Select auto or adjust the brghtness level usng the

Ths settng allows you to save power and get the 
maxmum possble runnng tme for your battery. Follow 
the steps below to turn off the LCD screen and camera 
automat

2.  Press the Up/Down button to select the power tems 
for the screen and camera and press the Rght button.
3. Press the Up/Down button to adjust the selected tem.

ON, 3 m

n, 5 mn, 10 mn.
4.  Press the 
 button to confirm.
Zone
The Zone settng s a useful functon on your overseas 
trps. Ths feature enables you to dsplay the local tme on 
the LCD screen whle you are overseas.
1. Select the Zone sett

bed prevously. The world tme screen appears.
2.  Use the  Up/Down nav
 gaton buttons to swtch 
between the hometown (  ) and travel destnaton  
(  ) fields.
3.  Use the  Left/Right nav

button to confirm.
