Refer to Safety chapters.12.1 Notes on cleaning • Clean the front of the appliance with a soft cloth with warm water and a cleaning agent. • To clean metal surfaces, use a usual cleaning agent. • Clean the appliance interior after each use. Fat accumulation or other food remains may result in a fire. The risk is higher for the grill pan. • Clean stubborn dirt with a special oven cleaner. • Clean all accessories after each use and let them dry. Use a soft cloth withwarm water and a cleaning agent. • If you have nonstick accessories, do not clean them using aggressive agents, sharp-edged objects or a dishwasher. It can cause damage to the nonstick coating. 12.2 Removing the shelf supports To clean the oven, remove the shelf supports. 1. Pull the front of the shelf support away from the side wall. 2. Pull the rear end of the shelf support away from the side wall and remove it. Install the shelf supports in the opposite sequence. The retaining pins on the telescopic runners must point to the front.12.3 Pyrolytic cleaning Menu / Heating Functions / Cleaning CAUTION! Remove all accessories.ENGLISH43 1 2
CAUTION! If there are other appliances installed in the same cabinet, do not use them at the same time as the pyrolytic cleaning function. It can cause damage to the appliance. You can clean the appliance using the pyrolytic cleaning. WARNING! The appliance becomes very hot. There is the risk of burns. 1. To set the cleaning mode scroll through the menu: Cleaning. 2. To activate the cleaning mode, touch the one you want to choose. OptionDescriptionQuick pyroly- sisfor a low level of dirt (1 h)Normal pyrol- ysisfor a medium level of dirt (1 h 30 min)Intense pyrol- ysisfor a high lev- el of dirt (2 h 30 min)When the pyrolytic cycle starts, the lamp does not work and the cooling fan works at a higher speed.Do not open the door during the heating up time. If you open the door, you will cancel the pyrolytic cleaning cycle. 3. To stop the pyrolytic cleaning cycle, touch . Do not use the appliance until the door lock symbol is off. 12.4 Removing and installing the door You can remove the door and the internal glass panels to clean it. The number of glass panels is different for different models.WARNING! Be careful when you remove the door from the appliance. The door is heavy. 1. Open the door fully. 2. Fully press the clamping levers (A) on the two door hinges. 3. Close the oven door to the first opening position (approximately 70° angle). 4. Hold the door with one hand on each side and pull it away from the appliance at an upwards angle. 5. Put the door with the outer side down on a soft cloth on a stable surface. This is to prevent scratches. 6. Hold the door trim (B) on the top edge of the door at the two sides and push inwards to release the clip seal. 7. Pull the door trim to the front to remove it. 8. Hold the door glass panels on their top edge one by one and pull them up out of the guide. www.aeg.com44 A A 1 2 B
9.Clean the glass panel with water and soap. Dry the glass panel carefully. When the cleaning is completed, install the glass panels and the door. Do the above steps in the opposite sequence. Install the smaller panel first, then the larger. 12.5 Replacing the lamp Put a cloth on the bottom of the interior of the appliance. It prevents damage to the lamp glass cover and the cavity. WARNING! Danger of electrocution! Disconnect the fuse before you replace the lamp. The lamp and the lamp glass cover can be hot. 1. Deactivate the appliance. 2. Remove the fuses from the fuse box or deactivate the circuit breaker. The top lamp 1. Turn the lamp glass cover counterclockwise to remove it. 2. Clean the glass cover. 3. Replace the lamp with a suitable 300 °C heat-resistant lamp. 4. Install the glass cover.The side lamp 1.Remove the left shelf support to get access to the lamp. 2. Use a narrow, blunt object (e.g. a teaspoon) to remove the glass cover. 3. Clean the glass cover. 4. Replace the lamp with a suitable 300 °C heat-resistant lamp. 5. Install the glass cover. 6. The residual heat inside the oven will continue to cook. – Use the residual heat to warm up other foods. •Cooking with fan - when possible, use the cooking functions with fan to save energy. • Residual heat – In some heating functions if a programme with time selection (Duration, End) is activated and the cooking time is longer than 30 minutes, the heating elementsdeactivate automatically 10% earlier. The fan and lamp continue to operate. • Cooking with the lamp off - deactivate the lamp during the cooking and activate only when you need it. • Keep food warm - if you want to use the residual heat to keep the meal warm, choose the lowest possible temperature setting. The display shows the residual heat temperature. • Eco functions - the lamp is deactivated at the start. The lamp activates again when you activate the lamp over menu or when you open the appliance door. • Moist Fan Baking - the lamp deactivates after 30 seconds.
