Paper Jams Phaser® 6280 Printer 123 Paper Jams at the Fuser 1. Press the button and open the front cover. 2. Lift the levers at both ends of the fuser (1), and remove the jammed paper (2). If the paper is torn, remove any scraps of paper remaining inside the printer. Warning:Some components inside the printer, such as the fuser and surrounding area, are hot and can cause burns. When Long Paper Jams When long paper (longer than 356 mm) jams inside the printer, cut the paper as needed, then remove it in the proper way depending on the place that the paper jam occurs.
