5.4 Transparencies • To avoid damaging the printer, use only transparencies designed for use in laser printers. • Transparencies used in the printer must be able to withstand 180° C (356° F), the printer’s fusing temperature. • Place them on a flat surface after removing them from the printer. • Do not leave them in the paper tray for long periods of time. 5.5 Using the manual tray The manual tray can hold special sizes and types of print media, such as transparency, postcard, note card, and envelope. It is useful for single page printing on special print media. To load paper in the manual tray: 1Load one sheet of paper with the side to be printed on facing up. 8.3 Maintaining the toner cartridge Toner cartridge storage To get the most from the toner cartridge, keep the following guidelines in mind: • Do not remove the toner cartridge from its package until ready for use. • Do not refill the toner cartridge.
