LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion 
marks. If any are found, this indicates that the appliance should be 
serviced and the line cord replaced. Please return it to our 
Service Department or to an authorized service representative. 
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could 
place undue stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and 
cause it to fray and break.
DO NOT OPERATE APPLIANCE IF THE LINE CORD SHOWS ANY
DAMAGE, OR IF APPLIANCE WORKS INTERMITTENTLY OR STOPS
WORKING ENTIRELY.
SPECIAL ATTENTION:
The use of an extension cord is not recommended. However, if it is
absolutely necessary, be sure that the cord is (1) No. 14 AWG minimum
size and rated no less than 1500 watts; (2) CUL Listed; (3) as short as
possible (long cords can overheat, as well as trip circuit breakers); 
(4) not used for operating more than one appliance at a time.
This appliance contains no user serviceable parts. Refer service to
qualified service personnel.
SPECIAL NOTE:
Before unplugging unit, be sure all controls are in the Off position.
TO CLEAN: Always unplug heater from outlet and allow it to cool
thoroughly before attempting to clean. Accumulated dust may be
removed from heater surfaces with a soft cloth. For more thorough
cleaning, use a cloth that has been moistened with a solution of mild
detergent and water. Dry the heater casing thoroughly with a soft, dry
cloth before operating the unit again. DO NOT immerse heater in water.
TO STORE:When storing heater during the off season, be sure to keep it
in a dry area. Coil the cord around the cord storage at the side of the unit.
REMEMBER:Portable electric heaters are designed for space heating or
as a supplementary heat source. They are not intended to be a main
source of heat.
This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into any
AC electrical outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other
type of outlet.
CASTER ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Heater is packed with two caster assemblies that must be installed
between the radiator fins at each end of base pipe to make unit totally
portable and convenient to use.
TO ASSEMBLE: Be sure heater is unplugged and switches are in the Off
position. Keep cord out of the way by winding it around cord storage on
side of unit. Set heater upside down. Place metal connecting screw of
caster assembly over base pipe between radiator fins on one side of
heater so that threads on screw project beyond pipe (Fig 2). Insert ends
of screw into holes on wheelbase of caster assembly. Fasten wing nut
securely on threaded end of connecting screw. Repeat procedure on
other side of unit with second caster assembly. Set heater upright and
plug in.
CHOOSING A LOCATION FOR THIS HEATER
This heater is intended for use only on a floor. This heater radiates heat
in all directions, so always leave ample space around it. Do not place
too close to a wall or any furniture. Keep all combustible materials such
as furniture, pillows, bedding, paper, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet
away from heater. Do not place anything on top of heater. Do not use in
wet or moist locations, e.g., bathrooms or laundry areas, or in areas
where paint or other flammable or volatile liquids are used or stored.
IMPORTANT:Close supervision must be maintained at all times when
this heater is used near children or invalids or pets. Do not touch or
attempt to move heater when it is plugged in. Always unplug and allow
heater to cool before handling. NEVER pull unit by the cord. Use the
handle provided.
CAUTION:
Be sure that no other appliances are plugged into the same circuit with
this heater.  A circuit overload could occur.
TO USE
This heater features two power switches with indicator lights plus an
adjustable thermostat control. It offers a choice of three heat settings:
For LOW heat (600 watts), press switch on left (I); for MEDIUM heat (900
watts), press switch on right (II); for HIGH heat (1500 watts), press BOTH
switches (I & II). Then turn thermostat as far as it will go in a clockwise
direction. Indicator light on switch(es) selected will come on.
Whichever setting is selected (LOW, MEDIUM OR HIGH), leave the
thermostat control at its maximum position until the desired temperature
is reached.  Then carefully lower the thermostat control until the heater
shuts off. (Indicator light(s) will go out.) Leave the thermostat control at
that position. As the heater automatically cycles on and off to maintain
chosen room temperature, the indicator light(s) will also cycle on and off
to indicate when heater is operating. SO LONG AS EITHER OR BOTH
POWER SWITCHES ARE TURNED ON, THE HEATER WILL BE OPERATING,
EVEN IF INDICATOR LIGHTS ARE OFF.
NOTE: OIL IN UNIT IS PERMANENTLY SEALED; NO NEED TO REFILL.

5. Ne jamais enrouler le fil trop Žtroitement autour de lappareil car 
cela pourrait exercer trop de pression sur le fil ˆ lendroit ou il entre 
dans lÕappareil et pourrait leffilocher et le faire casser.

absolument nŽcessaire, bien utiliser un fil qui (1) est No. 14 AWG
minimum et a un nominal dÕau moins 1500 watts ; (2) est agrŽŽ CUL ;

de meubles.  Garder tous les matŽriaux combustibles tels que meubles,

radiateur.  Ne rien mettre sur le radiateur.  Ne pas utiliser dans des
endroits humides tels que salles de bains et buanderies, ou dans des

liquides inflammables ou volatiles
IMPORTANT:

MODE DÕEMPLOI : 
Ce radiateur utilise 2 boutons avec voyant lumineux plus une commande
de thermostat rŽglable. Il y a trois rŽglages possibles : Pour BAS (600
watts) appuyer sur le bouton de gauche(I) ; Pour MOYEN (900 watts)
appuyer sur le bouton de droite (II) ; pour HAUT(1500 watts) appuyer sur
les deux boutons (I & II).  Tourner ensuite le thermostat dans le sens des
aiguilles dÕune montre aussi loin quÕil aille.  Le tŽmoin lumineux sur le(s)
bouton(s) choisi(s) sÕallume.
Quel que soit le rŽglage choisi (BAS, MOYEN OU HAUT) laisser la
commande de thermostat en position maximum jusquÕˆ ce que la
tempŽrature dŽsirŽe soit atteinte. Baisser ensuite soigneusement la
commande du thermostat jusquÕˆ ce que le radiateur sÕŽteigne. (les
tŽmoins lumineux sÕŽteindront) Laisser la commande du thermostat dans
cette position. Pendant que le radiateur sÕallume et sÕŽteint

tŽmoins lumineux sÕallument et sÕŽteignent pour indiquer quand le
radiateur fonctionne.  TANT QUE LÕUN DES BOUTONS, OU LES DEUX, EST
SUR MARCHE, LE RADIATEUR FONCTIONNE, MæME SI LES TƒMOINS
LUMINEUX SONT ƒTEINTS.
NOTE: LÕHUILE ISOTHERME DANS LÕAPPAREIL EST ENFERMƒE DE FA‚ON
PERMANENTE.  IL NÕEST PAS NECESSAIRE DÕEN AJOUTER.

nREAD ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING.
nThis heater is hot when in use. To avoid burns, do not let bare skin 
touch hot surface. Unplug and let heater cool down for at least ten 
(10) minutes before moving it. Use handles, if provided.
nTo reduce the risk of fire, keep combustible materials, such as 
furniture, pillows, bedding, papers, clothes and curtains at least 3 feet 
(0.9m) from the front, sides and rear of the heater.
nExtreme caution is necessary when any heater is used by or near 
children or invalids, and whenever the heater is left operating. Avoid 
leaving an operating heater unattended.
nAlways unplug from electrical outlet (receptacle) whenever heater is 
not in use.
nTo disconnect heater, turn control to OFF, then remove plug from outlet 
(receptacle). REMOVE BY PULLING ON THE PLUGÑ not the cord.
nDo not operate any heater with a damaged cord or plug or after a 
malfunction, or after it has been dropped or damaged in any manner. 
Return heater to the nearest authorized service repair center for 
examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment or repair.
nThis heater is not intended for use in bathrooms, laundry areas and 
similar indoor locations. Never locate heater where it may come in 
contact with water, such as near a bathtub or sink. If the heater does 
become wet, unplug it from the wall receptacle before touching it, as 
a wet heater may create an electrical shock hazard even if the heater 
is turned off.
nDo not use outdoors.
nTo avoid overheating of the cord, do not cover any part of the cord 
with carpet, throw rugs, runners, newspapers, magazines, furniture, 
etc. Arrange cord away from trafficked areas, so it will not be tripped 
over or stepped on.
nDo not insert or allow foreign objects to enter any ventilation or 
exhaust opening, as this may cause an electrical shock, fire 
or damage to the heater.
nTo avoid a fire hazard, do not cover this heater in any manner. Do not 
use on soft surface (such as a bed) where openings may be blocked 
or heater can fall over.
nA heater has hot and arcing or sparking parts inside. Do not use it in 
areas where gasoline, paint or other volatile or flammable liquids are 
used or stored.
nAvoid the use of an extension cord because the extension cord may 
overheat and cause a risk of fire. However, if an extension cord must be used, it shall be of a minimum size of 14 AWG and rated not less 
than 1500 watts. Use only an extension cord that is CUL listed.
nTo prevent electrical overload and blown fuses, be sure that no other 
appliances are plugged into the same outlet (receptacle) or into 
another outlet (receptacle) wired into the same circuit.
nDo not place the heater near a bed, because objects such as pillows 
or blankets can fall off the bed and be ignited by the heater.
nDo not use this heater as an integral part of any life support or 
equipment protection system, where a functional failure 
or misapplication of the heater could jeopardize the people or things 
being protected.
nAvoid using heater while sleeping.
nUse heater only as described in this manual. Any other use is not 
recommended by the manufacturer and may cause fire, electric shock
