POLARIZED PLUGThis appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety
feature, this plug fits in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit into the
outlet, reverse the plug and try again. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.ELECTRIC CORDA short power-supply cord is provided to reduce the hazards resulting from
entanglement or tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord may be used with care;
however,its marked electrical rating should be at least as great as the electrical

This appliance is for HOUSEHOLD USE ONLY. It may be plugged into any AC electrical
outlet (ordinary household current). Do not use any other type of outlet.
IMPORTANT:Before using, operate the toaster without bread in order to burn off
residues on the heating elements. When doing this, we suggest setting the shade
selector at a medium setting.
HOW TO USE TOASTER
Adjust the shade selector to the desired setting. Exact settings are difficult to
recommend due to personal preference; experiment to suit individual taste. Thick foods
and those containing fillings will require a longer toasting time. Rotate selector toward
highest setting to increase time. Some frozen pastries and toaster foods may require two
heating cycles for proper results.
Remove all protective wrappings from food before placing in toasting wells. (Avoid
toasting torn slices of bread and broken pastries, which may get lodged in toasting
wells.) Place bread or toaster food into toasting wells and depress the toaster lever. 
Automatic bread-centering guides will automatically center bread or toaster food for
even toasting.
When toast or toaster food is ready, it will pop up automatically, and the toaster will 
switch off.
NOTE: Do not make adjustments to the shade selector while the toaster is in use. To
interrupt the cycle, gently raise the toaster lever. 
When toasting a single slice, the bread or toaster food may be placed in either toasting
well but may toast slightly darker on the inside than on the outside.
HOW TO USE
This appliance requires little maintenance. It contains no user serviceable parts. Do not
try to repair it yourself. Refer it to qualified personnel if servicing is needed.
TO CLEAN: ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER AND ALLOW IT TO COOL BEFORE
CLEANING.Gently shake the toaster so crumbs fall on the crumb tray. Open the 
crumb tray.
NOTE: NEVER IMMERSE TOASTER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. NEVER USE A
METAL IMPLEMENT TO DISLODGE CRUMBS.
CRUMB TRAY:Open the crumb tray by grasping the knob on the base and sliding the
tray toward the cord while lifting. Brush crumbs from the tray and, if necessary, wipe
with a clean, damp cloth. Always dry the tray thoroughly before closing it. When closing
the tray, be sure that the latch catches on the slot.
CAUTION:TO PREVENT COUNTERTOP FROM BEING DAMAGED, THE TOASTER MUST
BE OPERATED WITH THE CRUMB TRAY IN PLACE, SECURELY CLOSED AND CLEANED
OF EXCESS FOOD. ALWAYS UNPLUG THE TOASTER WHEN NOT USING.
EXTERIOR:Wipe surface with a clean, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, as they
may scratch the surface.
TO STORE: Unplug the toaster and store in its box or in a clean, dry place. Do not put
stress on the cord where it enters the unit, as it could cause the cord to fray and break.

LINE CORD SAFETY TIPS
1. Never pull or yank on cord or the appliance.
2. To insert plug, grasp it firmly and guide it into outlet.
3. To disconnect appliance, grasp plug and remove it from outlet.
4. Before each use, inspect the line cord for cuts and/or abrasion marks. If any are 
found, this indicates that the appliance should be serviced and the line cord 
replaced.  
5. Never wrap the cord tightly around the appliance, as this could place undue 
stress on the cord where it enters the appliance and cause it to fray and break.

ENCHUFE POLARIZADOEste artefacto tiene un enchufe polarizado (una hoja es m‡s ancha que la otra). Como

Este artefacto es para USO DOMESTICO SOLAMENTE. Puede ser enchufado en
cualquier tomacorriente de corriente alterna de 120 voltios (corriente ordinaria
domŽstica). No use ningœn otro tipo de tomacorriente.
IMPORTANTE:Antes de usar, haga funcionar la tostadora sin pan para as’ quemar todos
los residuos de los elementos de calentamiento. Cuando haga esto, le sugerimos que
coloque el selector para el nivel de tostadura en la posici—n mediana.
COMO USAR ESTA TOSTADORA
Ajuste el selector para el nivel de tostadura a la posici—n deseada. Una posici—n exacta
es dif’cil de recomendar debido a la preferencia personal; experimente con su gusto
individual. Porciones abundantes o aquellas que contengan relleno requerir‡n un tiempo
m‡s largo para tostarse. Seleccione la posici—n alta para aumentar el tiempo. Algunos
pasteles congelados y alimentos para tostar pueden requerir dos ciclos de
calentamiento para un resultado adecuado.
Remueva todas las envolturas protectoras de la comida antes de colocarlas en las
ranuras de la tostadora. (Evite tostar un pedazo de una rebanada de pan o pedazos de
pasteles, lo cual puede quedarse en el interior de las ranuras de la tostadora.)
Coloque pan u otro alimento para tostar dentro de la tostadora y baje la palanca.
Gu’as ajustables para el pan autom‡ticamente centran el pan u otro alimento para un
tostado parejo.
Cuando la tostada estŽ lista, saltar‡ autom‡ticamente y la tostadora se apagar‡.
NOTA: No haga ajustes al selector para el nivel de tostadura mientras la tostadora estŽ
funcionando. Para interrumpir el ciclo, levante suavemente la palanca.
Cuando estŽ tostando una sola rebanada, el pan o tostada pueden ser colocadas en
cualquiera de las ranuras de la tostadora, pero el lado de adentro tuesta m‡s que el 
de afuera.Este artefacto requiere poco mantenimiento. No contiene piezas que puedan ser
reparadas por el usuario. No trate de repararlo usted mismo. Si necesita reparaci—n
rem’talo a personas calificadas.
PARA LIMPIAR: SIEMPRE DESENCHUFE LA TOSTADORA Y DEJE QUE SE ENFRIE. ANTES
DE LIMPIARLA. Suavemente sacuda la tostadora para que la migajas caigan a la
bandeja. Abra la bandeja.
NOTA: NUNCA SUMERJA LA TOSTADORA EN EL AGUA O CUALQUIER OTRO LêQUIDO.
NUNCA USE UN IMPLEMENTO DE METAL PARA SACAR LAS MIGAJAS.
BANDEJA PARA LAS MIGAJAS:Abra la bandeja para las migajas agarrando el bot—n en

2. Pour brancher la fiche : Attraper fermement la fiche et la guider dans la prise.

OUVERTURE DU RAMASSE-MIETTES:Ouvrez le plateau ˆ miettes en empoignant le
bouton sur la base et glissant le plateau vers le cordon tout en le soulevant. Brossez les
miettes du plateau et, si nŽcessaire, essuyez-le avec un chiffon humide, propre. SŽchez
toujours le plateau ˆ fond avant de le fermer. Lorsque le plateau est fermŽ, assurez que
le loquet sÕenclenche dans la fente.
MISE EN GARDE:POUR NE PAS ENDOMMAGER LE COMPTOIR, VEILLER A CE QUE LE

COMMENT UTILISER CE GRILLE-PAIN
RŽglez le sŽlecteur de grillage au rŽglage dŽsirŽ. Les rŽglages prŽcis sont difficiles ˆ
recommander ˆ cause des prŽfŽrences personnelles; essayez diffŽrents rŽglages pour
votre gožt individuel. Les aliments Žpais et ceux qui contiennent des garnitures
prendront plus de temps ˆ griller. Tournez le sŽlecteur vers le rŽglage maximal pour
accro”tre la pŽriode de grillage. Certaines p‰tisseries congelŽes et dautres aliments

Enlevez tous les emballages de protection des aliments avant de les placer dans le puits
de grillage. (ƒvitez de griller des tranches de pain et des p‰tisseries brisŽes, qui peuvent

le grille-pain dans le puits de grillage et abaissez la poignŽe. 
Les guides de centrage automatique du pain centreront automatiquement le pain ou les
aliments allant au grille-pain pour un grillage uniforme.
