Wii Menu \f i i M e n u \f Wii Menu 3 Using the Wii Menu When the Wii console power \uis turned on, the first screen you will see is\u the Wii Menu. Get Connected Video Select the \fii + Internet icon from the Wii Menu to w\btch \b \uvideo showing the m\bny \bdv\bnt\bges of connecting your Wii system to the I\unternet. Once you h\bve connec\uted your Wii system to the I\unternet, if you select this ic\uon \bg\bin, you will be \bsked if you would like to keep the video or de\ulete it. Deleting the video\u will free up Wii system memory. If this program is deleted, it cannot be recovered. It will also be pe\,rmanently deleted if you format the \fii system memory (s\,ee page 63). WiiConnect\f4™ The Wii console c\bn com\umunic\bte with the In\uternet even when th\ue power is turned o\uff. After you give it \b f\uew person\bl profile det\bils like \b Nickn\bme (see p\u\bge 10), you’re completely finishe\ud! Design \bn endless v\briety of Mii ch\br\bcters! Wh\bt Are Mii ch\br\bcters For? • You c\bn choose one of\u your Mii ch\br\bcters to be “you” \uin Mii-comp\btible g\u\bmes. • You c\bn store up to 100 Mii ch\br\u\bcters in your Mii \uPl\bz\b (see p\bge 11).\u • You c\bn c\brry Mii ch\br\u\bcters in your Wii Remote Plus to exch\bnge them with Mii\u ch\br\bcters in friends’ \uWii consoles (see \up\bge 1\f). Mii Channel M i i C h a n n e l 8 Mii Channel 9 Cre\bting More Mii ch\br\bcters Selecting the Mii C\uh\bnnel from the Wii Menu Use the Wii Remote Plus to selec\ut the Mii Ch\bnnel, then select St\brt to enter Mii P\ul\bz\b (see p\bge 11). Select the New Mii \uicon on the left side of the screen: Select M\ble or Fem\ble. Then if you’ve cre\bted \b Mii previously, you’ll see two Mii\u st\brt-up options: \u“St\brt from scr\btch” or “Choose \b \ulook-\blike.” St\brting from Scr\btch If you select “St\brt from scr\btch,” you’ll inst\bntly \ube given \b b\bsic st\u\brter f\bce, then you’ll fine-tun\ue \bll of its fe\btures, just \bs you did with\u your first Mii. Choosing \b Look-\blike Select “Choose \b lo\uok-\blike” if you w\bnt to get \b M\uii designed very q\uuickly. You’ll be shown \b wid\ue v\briety of st\brter f\bces th\bt show \b spe\uctrum of Mii looks. When you find \b f\bce \uyou like, select “Use this f\u\bce” to move onto t\uhe Fe\bture Edit screen, where you c\bn fine-tune t\uhe f\bce if you prefer. If you find one th\bt’s close but not qui\ute right, select it \bnd you’\ull see m\bny v\bri\btio\uns on the f\bce. You c\bn use this method repe\btedly to get close\ur \bnd closer to the\u ex\bct f\bce th\bt you w\b\unt (\bs shown to the \uright). Select “Use this f\bce” when you see t\uhe ex\bct Mii f\bce you w\b\unt. Mii Ch\bnnel Modifying \b Mii Ch\bnging Mii Fe\btures Use the style menu \uwhen ch\bnging your M\uii ch\br\bcters’ f\bce \bnd bod\uy. As you select c\bteg\uories from the top Fe\bture menu, you’ll see the Fe\bture style menu below \ufill with v\bri\btions th\bt you \uc\bn choose for your \uMii ch\br\bcters’ look. You c\bn then \bdjust th\ue height \bnd weight \uof your Mii using two sliders. “Gr\bb” \b slider \bnd mov\ue the Wii Remote Plus to ch\bnge the setting. Cre\bting \b Profile For Your Mii Select the Edit Mii\u Profile choice from the Fe\bture Edit screen. You c\bn then give you\ur Mii person\bl det\b\uils. Select \b det\bil you w\bnt to edit, then enter the inf\uorm\btion.
