    Image Size Menu  
    The Image Size menu allows you to choose the desired size of the images taken by your 
    camera. Keep in mind that images with a higher size (resolution) will also take up more 
    of your camera‟s memory.  
    The Image Size options include: 
    (10M) 3648 x 2736, (8M) 3262 x 2448, (7M HD) 3648 x 2048, (5M) 2592 x 1944,  
    (3M) 2048 x 1536, (2M HD) 1920 x 1080, (VGA) 640 x 480  
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Image 
    Size menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu 
    options.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    6) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually 
    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
    Note:  
    o The image size settings determine the quality and number of photos that can 
    be saved and the amount of memory required for each photo. The higher the 
    photo quality the more memory it will take. The image size and quality will also 
    affect the maximum size you can effectively print your photo. 
    o For Image sizes higher than 3M a SD card need to be inserted into the 
    camera.  
    o Your camera has two HD “7M” and “2M” high definition image sizes.

    Anti-Shake Menu  
    The Anti-Shake feature reduces image distortion that can be caused by movement of the 
    camera while capturing the image. 
    The Anti-Shake options include: 
    On, Off 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the 
    Anti-Shake menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu 
    options.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    6) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually 
    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
     
    Face Detect Menu  
    The Face Detect feature when set to „On‟ allows the camera to use a subject‟s face as 
    the basis for balancing the other colors and focus in the camera‟s display. This feature is 
    meant to ensure that the color and focus of your pictures will be consistently sharp and 
    high-quality. 
    The Face Detect options include: 
    On, Off 
     
    Note: To properly use the Face Detect option, please ensure the following: 
     Macro mode OFF – Ensure that the Macro is set to „Off‟. Face Detect will not work if

    the camera is in Macro mode. 
    When Macro is off, the mountain icon appears on the LCD display. 
    The Macro option is „Off‟ by default when you start using your camera. 
     Anti-Shake ON – Ensure that the Anti-Shake option is set to „On‟. The Anti-Shake 
    option is „On‟ by default when you start using your camera and assists you in properly 
    focusing the image. 
     Distance from the camera – The subject‟s face must be no further than 8 to 9 feet 
    (3.5 meters) from the camera and the face must cover at least 20% (1 / 5th) of the 
    picture previewed on the LCD screen. 
     Facing the camera – The face of the subject(s) you are photographing must be 
    facing the camera and must hold the pose for at least 4 to 5 seconds until the green 
    square(s) appears around the subject‟s face. 
    Face Detect will not work with a side shot of the subject‟s head. 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Face 
    Detect menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu 
    options.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    6) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually

    Smile Capture Menu  
    The Smile Capture feature when set to „On‟ allows the camera to automatically take a 
    picture when it detects that a subject in the picture is smiling. 
    The Smile Capture options include: 
    On, Off 
     
    Note: To properly use the Smile Capture feature, please ensure the following: 
     Macro mode OFF – Ensure that the Macro is set to „Off‟. Smile Capture will not work 
    if the camera is in Macro mode. 
    When Macro is off, the mountain icon appears on the LCD display. 
    The Macro option is „Off‟ by default when you start using your camera. 
     Anti-Shake ON – Ensure that the Anti-Shake option is set to „On‟. The Anti-Shake 
    option is „On‟ by default when you start using your camera and assists you in properly 
    focusing the image. 
     Distance from the camera – The subject‟s face must cover a majority of the picture 
    previewed on the LCD screen. 
     Facing the camera – The face of the subject(s) you are photographing must be 
    facing the camera and must hold the pose for at least 4 to 5 seconds until the green 
    square(s) appears around the subject‟s face.  
    Once a smile is detected the camera will automatically take the picture. 
    Smile Capture will not work with a side shot of the subject‟s head. 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Smile 
    Capture menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu

    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.

    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
     
    Continue Shot Menu  
    When enabled, the Continue Shot feature allows you to take six rapid snapshots in a row 
    with a single click of the Shutter button.  
    This feature can be effective when trying to capture a particular moment in a sporting 
    event or other scenes with quick movements. 
    The Continue Shot options include: 
    On, Off 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the 
    Continue Shot menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu 
    options.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    6) This setting will be saved by your camera until you manually change the setting,

    Self Timer Menu 
    The Self-Timer menu allows you to set a delay between the time that the camera‟s 
    Shutter button is pressed and the actual capture of the picture.  
    This is an optimal feature if you don‟t just want to take the picture but would also like to 
    be in the picture yourself. Just set the desired Self-Timer delay, press the Shutter button 
    on your camera and position yourself in front of the camera as desired. 
    The Self Timer options include: 
    Off, 2 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Self 
    Timer menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the menu 
    options.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    5) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    6) This setting will be saved by your camera until you manually change the setting,

    Setup Menu (General Camera Settings)  
    You can adjust your general camera settings with the Setup Menu. 
    The Setup options include: 
    Exposure, ISO, White Balance, Sharpness, Quality, Date, Auto Power Off, Language, 
    Frequency, Format, Default Setting, Cancel 
     
    Exposure Menu 
    The Exposure setting helps you control the amount of light that enters your camera‟s 
    lens. This setting should be adjusted when the environment is lighter or darker than 
    normal.  
    When the environment has more light than is needed, reduce the exposure setting 
    (by using the negative - count) to reduce the amount of light allowed into the lens by 
    your camera. 
    If the environment has less light (darker) than is needed, increase the exposure 
    setting (by using the positive + count) to increase the amount of light allowed into the 
    lens by your camera. 
    The Exposure options include: 
    (Lightest ) +3, +2, +1, 0, -1, -2, -3    (Darkest) 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Setup 
    menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll to the Exposure 
    submenu.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select the Exposure submenu and open the 
    submenu options. 
    5) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the submenu

    6) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    7) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    8) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually 
    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
     
    ISO Menu 
    The ISO menu allows you to set the level of sensitivity that your camera has to light 
    in the surrounding environment. When the ISO level is increased, the image sensor 
    in your camera will be more sensitive to light and allow you to capture images in 
    lower-light situations. The higher sensitivity to light however, may reduce the quality 
    of the images that are taken. 
    When the ISO is reduced, the image sensor in your camera will be less sensitive to 
    light and will optimize the image quality in environments with bright lighting. 
    The ISO options include: 
    Auto, 100, 200, 400 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Setup 
    menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll to the ISO submenu.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select the ISO submenu and open the submenu 
    options. 
    5) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the submenu 
    options.  
    6) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode.

    7) An icon reflecting your selection will display on the LCD screen.  
    8) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually 
    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
     
    White Balance Menu  WB 
    The White Balance feature allows your camera to adjust the coloring of the captured 
    images depending on the type of light source in the current environment.  
    Properly adjusting the White Balance setting to match your current environment will 
    allow the camera to properly balance the colors in the images that are taken with 
    your camera. 
    The White Balance options include: 
    Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Incandescent, Fluorescent 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Setup 
    menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll to the White Balance 
    submenu.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select the White Balance submenu and open the 
    submenu options. 
    5) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the submenu 
    options.  
    6) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    7) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually

    Sharpness Menu  
    You can set the level of sharpness in the images taken with your camera. The 
    sharpness level dictates if the edges of objects in the image are more or less distinct. 
    The Sharpness options include: 
    Normal, Sharp, Soft 
     
    1) Press the MENU (M) button to open the menus for the current mode. 
    2) Press the LEFT or RIGHT direction control buttons to scroll and select the Setup 
    menu. 
    3) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll to the Sharpness 
    submenu.  
    4) Press the MENU (M) button to select the Sharpness submenu and open the 
    submenu options. 
    5) Press the UP or DOWN direction control buttons to scroll through the submenu 
    options.  
    6) Press the MENU (M) button to select and save the desired option, exit the menu 
    screen and return to your previous mode. 
    7) Remember that this setting will be saved by your camera until you manually 
    change the setting or restore the camera‟s default factory settings. 
     
     
    Quality Menu  
    The Quality menu allows you to select the desired quality level of the images taken 
    by your camera. Keep in mind that images with a higher image quality level will also 
    take up more memory on your camera. 
    The Quality options include: 
    Super Fine, Fine, Normal
