    Movie (Video Capture) Mode 
    The Movie (Video Capture) Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camera. When the 
    camera is first powered ON, the camera is in Photo Capture Mode. Press the HOME button to 
    access the Movie (Video Capture) Mode. 
    1. Press the HOME button for the Modes menu to appear. 
     
    2. Touch the icon  function area to enter the Movie (Video Capture) Mode. 
    Note: An SD card needs to be inserted in order to use this video mode. 
     
    The  Movie Mode icon appears on the top left corner of the LCD screen indicating that you are 
    in Movie (Video Capture) Mode.  
     
    Taking Videos 
    1. Press the Shutter button to begin shooting videos. 
    2. The elapse time appears on the top right of the LCD screen and the icon  flashes on the 
    LCD screen. 
                      
    3. Press the Shutter button again to stop the recording and save this file in AVI format. 
     
    Note: You can preview the AVI files in Playback mode or once downloaded to your computer by 
    using Quick Time and Windows Media Player.

    Optical Zoom 
    You can magnify your subject up to 3 times using the optical zoom by touching the icon  
    function area to Zoom In or touch the icon  function area to zoom back out. 
    Note: When using this function, the camera automatically adjusts the lens. Be careful not to touch 
    the Lens while the camera is adjusting. 
     
     
    Digital Zoom  
    You can magnify your subject up to 4 times using the digital zoom by touching the icon  and 
     function area.  
    1. Touch the icon  function area to Zoom In on your object.  
    2. The following icon  appears on your LCD screen.  
    3. Touch the icon  function area to Zoom back out. 
     
    Note: You can zoom in/out of your subject with Optical/Digital Zoom together. Touch the icon  
    or  function area to zoom in or out of your subject with 3x optical and 4x digital zoom. 
     
     
    Hide / Show the LCD Screen Display Icons 
    To hide the icons that appear on the LCD screen, touch the “DIS” function area on the Touch 
    screen. For the icons to reappear touch the “DIS” function area again.

    Movie (Video Capture) Mode Menus 
    In Video Mode there are 3 setup options - White Balance, Size and Macro 
     
    White Balance 
    The White Balance feature allows your camera to adjust the coloring of the captured images 
    depending on the type of light source in the current environment.  
    Properly adjusting the White Balance setting to match your current environment allows the camera 
    to properly balance the colors in the images that are taken with your camera. 
    1. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    2. Touch the “WB” function area to enter the White Balance menu. 
    3. Touch the icon  function area to select the best White Balance option for shooting. 
     Auto,   Incandescent,  Fluorescent,   Cloudy,   Daylight    
    4. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm, save and exit to the video standby mode. 
    5. The White Balance icon selected appears on the LCD screen 
     
     
    Size 
    The Size menu allows you to choose the desired size of the images taken by your camera. Keep 
    in mind that images with a larger size will also take up more of your camera‟s memory.  
    Your camera supports 2 video resolutions: 640x480 (VGA) pixels, 320x240 (QVGA) pixels. 
     
    1. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    2. Touch the “MP” function area to enter the Size menu.

    3. Touch the icon  function area to select VGA or QVGA. 
    4. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm, save and exit to the video standby mode. 
    5. The Size icon selected appears on the LCD screen. 
     
     
    Macro 
    With the Macro feature you can capture images at close range (30 ~ 45 cm). To enable the Macro 
    mode, select  „On‟. The flower icon  appears on the LCD and indicates that the Macro mode 
    is ON. 
    To return to the normal mode and disable the Macro mode, select  „Off‟. The mountain icon  
    appears on the LCD. When Macro mode is off, images can be captured from 1.5m - infinity. 
    1. Press the MENU/OK button 
     
    2. Touch the Macro icon  function area to enter the Macro menu. 
    3. Touch the icon  function area to select the Macro or Far shooting icon. 
    4. The area beneath the Macro/Far shooting area describes the selected icon. 
     : Macro shooting - On 
     : Far shooting - Off 
    5. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm, save your choice and exit to the video standby 
    mode.  
    6. The selected Macro icon appears on the left side of the LCD screen.

    Playback Mode 
    When you first turn on the camera, the camera is in Photo Capture mode by default. Press the 
    HOME button to select and open the Playback Mode. The Playback Mode allows you to review 
    and edit photos and videos that you‟ve already taken with you camera. 
     
    Viewing Images 
    1. Press the HOME button for the modes menu to appear. 
     
    2. Touch the red dot to the right of the icon  function area to enter the Playback mode. 
    Here you can preview the photos and videos you have captured and recorded. In Playback 
    mode you can rotate, protect, delete and crop your photos and you can protect and delete 
    video clips. You can also print photos directly from your camera by connecting your camera 
    to a printer that supports using PictBridge. 
    3. An image (photo or video) opens in Full Screen Display mode. 
    4. To view the next image, touch the  icon function area. 
    5. To view the previous image, touch the  icon function area. 
     
    Note: The message “No File Exist” is displayed on the LCD screen if there are no photos or 
    videos in your camera. Press the HOME button to select a mode and begin to capture photos and

    Thumbnail Display 
                               
    When the camera is in the Playback Mode - Full Screen Display: 
    1. Touch the  Thumbnail icon function area.  
    2. This opens the Thumbnail Display view.  
    3. Touch the ,,  or  icon function area to select a thumbnail of a photo or video.  
    4. Press the MENU/OK button to display the selected photo or video in full screen. 
     
     
    Delete Current Photo or Video 
    Photos or Videos can be deleted in the Full Screen display mode: 
     
    1. Touch the  Delete Image icon function area to delete the current photo or video 
    displayed on the LCD screen.  
    2. A “This Image” delete confirmation message appears on the LCD with “Yes” or “No” 
    options. 
    3. Touch the  or  icon function area to select “Yes” or “No”. 
    4. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm. The selected image is deleted.

    Photo Playback Mode Menus 
    Select the still photo you want by either selecting it in the Thumbnail View first before viewing to 
    full screen or view the images one by one in your camera by touching the  or  icon function 
    area to toggle through the images that appear on the LCD. 
     
              
     
    Select the photo you would like to rotate, protect, delete, crop or print. 
     
     
    Rotate 
    Use this menu to rotate the pictures that you‟ve taken with your camera. 
    Note: The Rotate feature only works for images on the SD card. 
     
    1. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    2. Touch the  icon function area to enter the Rotate option. 
    3. Touch the icon function area to select one of the options: 90/180/270/C. 
    4. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm.  
    5. A “Rotate & Saving” message appears on the screen.  
    Please wait while the photo is being rotated as per your choice. 
    6. The photo is now rotated and saved.

    Note:  
    1. You cannot rotate a protected file. On attempting to rotate a protected file a “This File is 
    Write-Protected” message appears on the screen.  
    2. “No card inserted” appears on the screen if no SD card is inserted in the camera. Please 
    insert an SD memory card to use this function.  
     
     
    Protect 
    You can protect your photos/videos from accidental deletion by selecting the “lock” feature.  
     
    1. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    2. Touch the Next  icon function area until you see the Protect option. 
    3. Touch the  icon function area to enter the Protect menu. 
    4. Touch the  icon function area and select the “Lock” or “Unlock” option. 
    5. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm. 
    6. An icon  appears on the top of the LCD screen for that specific image that is selected to 
    be “Locked”. 
     
    Note:  To “Unlock” the current file follow steps 1 through 4. Select “Unlock” and press the 
    MENU/OK button to unlock the current file.

    Delete 
    Delete unwanted photos and videos at any time in order to free up memory. You can delete one 
    photo or video at a time or delete all images (except the protected photos and videos) that are 
    currently stored and saved on the memory card. 
     
    1. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    2. Touch the  icon function area until you see the Delete option. 
    3. Touch the  Delete icon function area to enter the Delete menu. 
    4. Touch the  icon function area to select one of the options that appear: This 
    Image/All/Cancel. 
    5. Press the MENU/OK button to confirm your choice. 
    6. If you selected “This Image” or “All” a delete message appears with “Yes” or “No” options. 
    7. Touch the  or  icon function area to select “Yes” if you wish to delete. 
    8. Press the MENU/OK button again to confirm the deletion. 
     
    Note: You cannot delete files that are locked. 
     
     
    Crop Image 
    Crop your photos to show and save a specific portion of an image or to highlight certain focal 
    points. The Crop feature lets you zoom in on an image and then save that part of the image as a 
    new photo.  
    Note: Only photos on the SD Card can be cropped. 
     
    1. Press the MENU/OK button.

    2. Touch the Next  icon function area until you see the Crop option. 
    3. Touch the icon function area to enter the Crop menu. 
    4. Touch the  icon function area to select the Crop or Cancel option. 
    5. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    6. Touch the  Zoom In and  Zoom Out icon function areas to magnify the rectangle that 
    appears on the LCD before you select the area to be saved as a new file. 
    7. Press the MENU/OK button. 
     
    8. Touch the ,,  or  icon function areas to move the rectangle over and select the 
    part of the photo that you would like to crop. 
    9. Press the Shutter button. 
    10. Press the Shutter button again to confirm and save the cropped area as a new photo.  
    To cancel the crop press the MENU/OK button to exit without saving. 
     
    Note: You can select Cancel in step 4 and press the MENU/OK button to exit.
