20 E Attaching the strap The two figures below illustrate how to attach the lens strap and wrist strap. Lens strap with the lens cap is used to protect the camera lens from any unexpected damages or scratches. And the wrist strap can be attached to prevent your camera from accidental slipping during use. 1.Thread one end of the lens strap through the strap eyelet and pull the other end through the loop until the strap is firmly secured. 2. 21 E Choosing the language When you first turn the camera on, the language setting screen appears, prompting you to choose a language for displayed information on the LCD monitor. 25 E RECORD MODE Taking pictures The camera is equipped with an optical viewfinder and a 1.5 LCD monitor to compose pictures. Taking pictures by using the viewfinder can conserve battery power. If the battery level is low and no extra batteries are handy, we recommend that you compose pictures by using the viewfinder.
