ViewSonic PJ75019 E N G L I S H Screen Messages Periodically, messages appear on-screen to inform you of certain conditions. Most screen messages disappear after three (3) minutes and display again when you turn on the projector. The table below identifies various screen messages and their meanings. Table 4: Screen Messages Screen MessageMeaning or Action Required CHANGE THE LAMP AFTER REPLACING THE LAMP, RESET THE LAMP TIMEThe lamp service life is nearing its end. Replace the lamp soon. This message displays after about 1300 hours of lamp usage. CHANGE THE LAMP AFTER REPLACING THE LAMP, RESET THE LAMP TIME THE POWER WILL TURN OFF AFTER ** HR.The lamp shuts off after approximately ** hours have elapsed. Replace the lamp before the indicated hours have elapsed. CHANGE THE LAMP AFTER REPLACING THE LAMP, RESET THE LAMP TIME THE POWER WILL TURN OFF AFTER 0 HR.The lamp shuts off very soon because the remaining usage hours has elapsed. Replace the lamp immediately. NO INPUT IS DETECTED The ViewSonic PJ750 is not receiving a signal from the source. SYNC IS OUT OF RANGE The current horizontal or vertical frequency signal from the computer cannot be used by this projector. CHECK THE AIR FLOW The sensor has detected restricted air flow or no air flow. Make sure the air vents are clear and the air filter is clean.
ViewSonic PJ75021 E N G L I S H Remote Control Batteries Replace the batteries when the remote control unit becomes difficult to operate (such as slow response when you push a button). Use 2 AA batteries as shown in Figure 8 below. To replace the batteries: 1Pull the plastic tab from the battery access door when using the new projector for the first time. 2Push the tab on the bottom of the remote unit and remove the battery cover. 3Gently remove the batteries from the holder and replace them with new batteries. 4Ensure that the positive and negative terminals (+ / -) are positioned correctly. 5Push the battery cover into place. The cover should click into place. Cleaning Instructions Projector Lens Clean the lens with a damp, non-abrasive cloth. Apply a lens cleaning solution or a glass cleaning solution to the cloth. Do not spray a cleaning solution directly onto the lens. Projector Case Make sure the projector is cool before cleaning. Clean the exterior case with a moist cloth using a mild detergent. WARNING: Do not use alcohol, benzene, or other chemical cleaners which could damage the case. Air-Filter Clean or replace the air-filter after every 100 hours of use to prevent overheating, which could damage the projector. 1Make sure the projector is cool and the power cord is unplugged before beginning. 2Vacuum the air-filter. WARNING: Never operate the projector without the air-filter; doing so will damage the projector. Figure 8: Installing the Batteries
22ViewSonic PJ750 E N G L I S H Attaching the Optional Handle The ViewSonic PJ750 comes with an attachable handle. Follow the steps below to attach the handle. The handle hooks are on the left side of the projector, as shown in the figure to the left. If you choose to use the attachable handle, follow the steps below carefully. Caution: Never lift the projector by the handle without first ensuring that the handle is attached and fastened. Doing so may cause injury or damage to the projector Figure 9: Attaching the Handle To attach the handle: 1Lift one handle hook on the side of the projector. 2Pass one end of the handle through the handle hook. 3Buckle the end of the handle as shown. 4Repeat steps 1 through 3 to attach the other end of the handle. 24ViewSonic PJ750 E N G L I S H Limited Warranty VIEWSONIC Projector What the warranty covers: ViewSonic® warrants its products to be free from defects in material and workmanship during the warranty period. If a product proves to be defective in material or workmanship during the warranty period, ViewSonic will at its sole option repair or replace the product with a like product. Replacement product or parts may include remanufactured or refurbished parts or components. How long the warranty is effective: ViewSonic projectors are warranted for two (2) years for all parts excluding the lamp, two (2) years for all labor, and ninety (90) days for the lamp from the date of the first consumer purchase. Who the warranty protects: This warranty is valid only for the first consumer purchaser. What the warranty does not cover: 1. Any product on which the serial number has been defaced, modified or removed. 2. Damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from: a. Accident, misuse, neglect, fire, water, lightning, or other acts of nature, unauthorized product modification, or failure to fol low instructions supplied with the product. b. Repair or attempted repair by anyone not authorized by ViewSonic. c. Any damage of the product due to shipment. d. Removal or installation of the product. e. Causes external to the product, such as electric power fluctuations or failure. f. Use of supplies or p a rts not meeting ViewSonic’s specifications. g. Normal wear and tear. h. Any other cause which does not relate to a product defect. 3. Removal, installation, and set-up service charges. How to get service: 1. AC PLUG CORD PRECAUTIONS FOR THE UNITED KINGDOM FOR YOUR SAFETY PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING TEXT CAREFULLY. IF THE FITTED MOULDED PLUG IS UNSUITABLE FOR THE SOCKET OUTLET THEN THE PLUG SHOULD BE CUT OFF AND DISPOSED OF SAFELY. THERE IS A DANGER OF SEVERE ELECTRICAL SHOCK IF THE CUT OFF PLUG IS INSERTED INTO AN APPROPRIATE SOCKET. If a new plug is to be fitted, please observe the wiring code as shown below.
