4.9  Logic Upper Assembly 
Removing the Logic Upper Assembly 
Remove the logic upper assembly according to the following procedures and Figure 4.13 and 
4.14. 
1. Turn the laptop upside down and remove the following 19 screws: 
  Sixteen M2.5x10 screws 
   Three M2.5x3 screws

2. Turn to the front and remove five M2.5x10 screws  and detach four cables as indicated in 
the Figure 4.14.

3.  Lift up the logic upper assembly. 
 
Installing the Logic Upper Assembly 
Install the logic upper assembly according to the following procedures.  1. Seat the logic upper assembly to the front of the laptop, and adjust to the correct position. 
2.  Attach the four cables and secure the five screws as indicated in Figure\
 4.14. 
3.  Turn the laptop upside down and secure it with 19 screws as indicated in\
 Figure 4.13: 
  Sixteen M2.5x10 screws 
   Three M2.5x3 screws

4.10 Power Board 
Removing the Power Board 
Remove the power board according to the following procedures and Figure 4.1\
5.  
1. Remove one M2.5x4 screw from the power board. 
2.  Separate the power board from the logic upper assembly.

Installing the power switch board 
Install the power switch according to the following procedures.  
1. Seat the power board in the correct place on the logic upper assembly. 
2.  Secure the power board with one M2.5x4 screw.

4.11 Speakers  
Removing the Speakers 
Remove the Speakers according to the following procedures and Figure 4.16. \
1. Remove four M2.5x4 screws from the left and right speaker. 
2.  Remove the left and right speakers from the logic upper assembly.

Installing the Speakers 
Install the speakers according to the following procedures. 
1. Seat the left and right speaker in the correct position. 
2.  Press speakers and secure the speakers with four M2.5x4 screws.

4.12 Touch Pad Bracket  
Removing the Touch Pad Bracket 
Remove the touch pad bracket according to the following procedures and Figu\
re 4.17. 
1. Remove three M2x4 screws from the pouch pad bracket.

2. Push the touch pad bracket upward to remove it.

4.13 Thermal Fan 
Removing the Thermal Fan 
Remove the thermal fan according to the following procedures and Figure 4.18. 
1. Detach the cable from the motherboard. 
2.  Remove one M2.5x5 screw from the thermal fan. 
3.  Remove the thermal fan from the logic lower assembly.

Installing the Thermal Fan 
Install the thermal fan according to the following procedures. 
1.  Seat the thermal fan in the correct position on the logic lower assembly. 
2.  Secure the thermal fan with one M2.5x5 screw. 
3.  Attach the cable to the motherboard.

4.14 Motherboard 
Removing the Motherboard 
Remove the motherboard according to the following procedures. 
1. Remove one M2.5x4 screw and detach three cables from the logic lower assembly as 
indicated by arrows in Figure 4.19.

2. Remove the DC_IN CONN and pull it out of the routing channel, as shown in F\
igure 4.20.

3.  Use left hand to hold down the lower part of the motherboard and right hand to pick the 
motherboard up.

Installing the Motherboard 
Install the motherboard according to the following procedures. 
1. Before seat the motherboard on the logic lower assembly, pull out the USB FFC to avoid 
being pressed. 
2.  Align the VGA CONN and RJ45 CONN to the holes in the logic lower assembly as shown in 
Figure 4.22.

3.  Align the Audio CONN to the holes in the logic lower assembly and push the motherboard 
downward. Make sure the SPDIF & Audio CONN fit the holes.

4.  Put the DC_IN CONN in the lower DC_IN trough a nd route the cable from left to right under 
the routing channel as shown in Figure 4.24.
