The parameters are used for information purposes in the FLIR Sensors Manager (FSM) software. Saving Configuration Changes After making any configuration changes, it is necessary to save the changes to the server (there is a Save button at the bottom of each configuration page). Once you save configuration changes to the server, the changes do not take effect immediately. Generally it is also necessary to stop and restart the server for the changes to become effective. The server has a configuration that is in effect and running, and another configuration that is saved (and possibly different than the running configuration). The following message indicates the saved configuration is different than the configuration in effect (the running configuration): “You must restart the server for the changes to be effective”. Restarting the Server To restart the server, first click on the Stop button at the top of the page, and wait for the page to refresh. When the server is stopped and the page is refreshed, the status will show as “Server Stopped” and the button at the top of the page will change to Start rather than Stop. Click on the Start button to restart the server, and when the page refreshes, the status will again show as “Server Running…”. It may take up to 15 seconds to start the server, depending on the configuration.
