The MiniDisc format offers a number of adv antages over an y other format on the mark et that makes the format uniquely appealing.  T rack names, rearr anging the tr ack order, and flexible rewritabilit y are some of the big advantages that MiniDisc brings to the table.  The MD-301mkII brings together the power and flexibilit y of MiniDisc in an affordable package.
Live Production - House of Worship
MiniDiscthe name of the track is displayed when y ou pull up a cue, y ou can recall sound effects or music up and see the name of the cue before y ou play it for the audience.  This offers more confidence than tr ack 67.  In theaters that need to change their audio cues regularly for constantly changing shows, a standard PC keyboard can plug into the k eyboard port on the front panel of the MD-301mkII to help y ou make quick work of an y size project.  Plus, the k eyboard can act as a wired remote.
Personal Studio - Project Studio
MiniDiscmedia is quite accessible now , with hi-fi components, personal pla yers, and ev en car pla yers now a vailable in ev ery major retail chain.  The MiniDisc format w as a digital format intended to be a recordable media from the start, so it is a natur al medium for taking reference mix es into other places for listening away from the studio .

PS/2 KEYBOARD CONTROL
ARCHITECTS SPECIFICATIONS
The MiniDisc recorder shall be able to mount in a standard 19 r ack mount.  Dimensions shall be 19 x 3.7 x 12.3 (W x H x D), taking up two standard height r ack spaces.
Metric measurements: 483x94x313mm
The MiniDiscand unbalanced RCA analog inputs and outputs.  Digital audio inputs and outputs shall be a vailable on the back panel in T OSLINK SPDIF format, and an additional TOSLINK input shall be a vailable on the front panel.  A headphone output shall bepro vided on the front panel with a lev el control.
The MiniDisca standard audio MiniDisc in stereo for 74 minutes or mono for 144 minutes of record time.
The MiniDisc a TASCAM RC -32 wireless remote control.  A
mini DIN 6-pin k eyboard input shall be pro vided on the front panel to accept a standard PS/2 compatible keyboard.  The k eyboard controls shall include transport control, editing functions, and track naming.
The MiniDisctable of contents data on the MiniDisc for rearranging, deleting, combining, or splittingtracks.  
The MiniDisc compression system to ensure the best sound qualit y and compatibilit y with other MiniDiscsystems.
