TA SCAMs DA -302 is the worlds only dual well DA T recorder.  The DA -302 offers all the functionalit y oftwo DATs with the abilit y to make two masters of asingle tape, cop y from one DAT well to the other , or the ability to play on one DA T while recording the other.  Howev er, other functions are a vailable thatnev er existed before (or required lots of extr a gear)like 2x DA T dubbing, extended pla y between bothdecks, and cascading of multiple DA -302s for duplication or playback.  No major studio , dup house or live venue should be without a DA -302.

PRODUCT OVERVIEW
DAT audio industry since the introduction of the format.  DA T is the only true non-compressed digital audio format that was intended to be a target writing media.  The simple flexibility and worry-free operation of DA T recorders contributed to the initial rise of the format, and continues t\
o support it in all lev els of recording.
The DAT sample r ates can be used, r anging from the long pla y 32kHz, to the CD standard 44.1kHz, to 48kHz for higher qualit y.  Plus, the DA T tapes are reasonably inexpensiv e and offer up to 2 hours (4 hours in LP mode) of uninterrupted audio.

Studios (Any Level)
When y oucopies?  Y ou can either get two DA T recorders, or you can get the DA -302.The fact that the DA -302 offers high speed dubbing also allows y ou tosave v aluable time in the production schedule.
For higher DA -302 can also duplicate those.  (The DA -302 cannot play a 24 bit DAT,but it can duplicate it directly across.)
Live Recordings - One Man Show - Logging Functions
The DA -302If the decks are set to record in cascade from one deck to the other whi\
lein long pla y mode, the two DA T wells will offer 8 hours of unattended recording time.  For live recordings, the regular speeds could be used fora live to 2 tr ack mix, or a steady feed from a buss output for back -up functions.
In the one tracks pla ying from one well, and the other well could be recording the whole performance.  Or , one DAT could be pla ying while the other is cued up.

The DA T recorder shall be a dual well DA T recordercapable of recording and playing back standard16 bit, 44.1kHz and 48kHz, as well as the extendedtime format of 12 bit, 32kHz.
The DAT recorder shallrecorder , with the abilit y to select the SCMS IDstatus.  The available options shall include cop yprohibit, 1 generation, or SCMS free.
A common analog input unbalanced RCA connectors.  Unbalanced outputsshall be provided for each well of the deck on RCA connectors.  Digital in and out ports shall be offered individually for each well of the dual wellDAT recorder on coaxial ports that can alternate between SPDIF and AES/EBU signals.
The dual well DA T recorderLA-D302 balancing kit, offering balanced input and individual balanced outputs on XLR cables.
The dual well DA T recorderfrom a TASCAM RC -D302 wired remote control.Additional ports shall be pro vided for TASCAM 
WR -7000 tr ansport communication when usingmultiple dual well DA T recorders in a chain forduplication, recording, or extended pla yback.
The dual wellspeed dubbing capability for high speed replicationof DAT tapes.  The dual well DA T recorder shallalso have the abilit y to duplicate time code tape subcode information.  The dual well DA T recorder shall also have the abilit y to duplicate 24 bit DAT tapes produced on high resolution DA Trecorders such as the TASCAM DA -45HR.
The dual wellin a standard 19 r ack mount, taking three spacesin height.  Dimensions shall be 19 x 6-3/32 x 13-7/8 (W x H x D).
