MountingtheBike Handle 12 11 12 3 3,4iIIII ~5 ~ 8 6§ J 7 .10 The handle support(2)ismounted on the drive tube(1). • Take outthe4screws (3) remove theclamp (4). • Place thebike handle (5)intheand position theclamp (4)onthe handle support. • Line upholes inclamp and handle support. • Insert thescrews asfar asstop. • Line upthe bike handle. • Tightenthe screws firmly. Fitting thecontrol handle • Remove thescrew (6)from thenut(7). • Take bothparts outofthe control handle(8). • Push thecontrol handle onto thebike handle (5) throttle trigger(9)must point indirection ofgear head. • Line upthe holes (10). • Fitnut and screwinthe control handle. • Tightenthe screw firmly. Fitting thethrottle cable Do not kink thethrottle cable - make surethethrottle trigger moves freely. • Push thethrottle cable (11) iAtotheretainers (12). 20

MountingtheDeflector 1 3~ 4 Mountingthedeflector • Place either deflector(1)forall cutting tools or deflector(2)formowing heads on the gearhead flange. • Fitthe plate (3)and lineitup. • Insert M 5 x18screws andtighten down securely. 24 Fitting skirtandblade •Slide thelowerguide slotofthe skirt(4)over thedeflector(1)- itmust snap intoposition. • Push blade (5)intotheuppergUide on theskirt andlineitup with the first hole. • Fitthe screw andtighten itdown firmly. Fitting stop- for circular sawblades •Remove standard deflector. Place thestop (1)onthe gear head flange -fit the three M 5 x 18screws (2)provided and tighten downsecurely.

Blocking theoutput shaft •Insert stoppin(1)inthe bore(2)at the side ofthe gear head asfar as stop -apply slightpressure. • Rotate outputshaftuntilthestop pin slips intoposition andblocks the shaft. Removing cuttingtoolmounting hardware • Position combination wrench(3) onthe mounting nut(4). • Release andunscrew thenut clockwise (left-handthread). • Remove shipping keeper (5)iffitted. • Pulltherider plate (6)and thrust washer(7)off the shaft (8). • Now fitthe cutting tool. 25

Blade ondeflector trimssurplus line to correct length. • Fitnew nylon lineasdescribed ininstructions suppliedwithmowing head. Slip thethrust washer (3)over the output shaft(4). Block theoutput shaft. Screw mounting nut(5)counter clockwise ontothe output shaftand tighten itdown firmly. Important! Remove thestop pin. Releasing mountingnut •Block theoutput shaftand unscrew themounting nut clockwise. Ifthe mounting nutbecomes slackdue to frequent loosening andretightening, fit anew one. Replacing cuttingblades •Refer toinstruction sheetsupplied with fixed linehead. • • • ....,.. • Lay your brushcutter onitsback with thegear head facing up. Place mowing headonthe thrust plate (1). Slip thethrust washer (2) over theoutput shaft(3). Block theoutput shaft. Screw mounting nut(4)counter clockwise on tooutputshaftand tighten downsecurely. Important! Remove thestop pin. Important! Removethestop pin. Releasing mountingnut •Block theoutput shaft. • Unscrew themounting nut clockwise. Ifthe mounting nutbecomes slackdue tofrequent loosening andretightening, fit anew one. 29
