MENU 1 [Red Eye Reduction] desired mode On The flash strobes to reduce the red -eye phenomenon. OffDoes not use [Red Eye Reduction]. What causes the red-eye phenomenon ? Pupils become dilated in dark environments. The flash light is reflected off the blood vessels at the back of the eye (retina) (A) , causing the “red -eye” phenomenon. Other ways to reduce red-eye Select (High Sensitivity) mode in [Scene Selection]. ([Flash Mode] is set to [Flash Off] automatically.) If the eyes of the subject turn out red, correct the image using the software “PlayMemories Home.” Notes To avoid blurring of images, hold the camera firmly until the shutter is released. It usually takes a second until the shutter is released, and also be sure not to allow the subject to move during this period. [Red Eye Reduction] may not produce the desired effects. It depends on individual differences and conditions, such as the distance to the subject or if the subject looked away from the pre -strobe. [Red Eye Reduction] is set to [Off] in the following situations:In [Sweep Shooting] mode When (Night Scene) or (Hand-held Twilight) mode is selected in [Scene Selection]. Square Grid Square grids make it easier to confirm the horizontal level of your composition. This function allows you to confirm the focus easily. 1 . MENU 1 [Peaking Level] desired mode High Strongly emphasizes the outline. Mid Moderately emphasizes the outline. Low Slightly emphasizes the outline. OffDoes not emphasize the outline. Notes Since the camera judges that sharp areas are in focus, [Peaking Level] differs, depending on the subject, shooting situation.
