Overview
lAdjuster
Use the adjusters to keep the projector 
level if it is installed on an uneven 
surface. 
Adjust the height so that the projector 
becomes level. The projector is raised by 
turning the adjusters clockwise, or it is 
lowered by turning them 
counterclockwise.

hENTER key
Enters the settings of items in the menu 
system.
iRESET key
Resets the value of an item back to its 
factory preset value. This key functions 
when the menu or a setting item is 
displayed on the screen.

Battery installation
1Push and slide to open the lid, then 
install the two size AA (R6) batteries 
(supplied) with the correct polarity.

 Make sure that the battery orientation is

Installation Example
 The following table indicates an example of installing the standard lens 
supplied with VPL-FX52.
 When you use VPL-FX52L (Lens are not supplied), be sure refer to the 
operating instructions of Installation Manual for Dealers.

Connecting the Projector
When you connect the projector, make sure to:
 Turn off all equipment before making any connections.
 Use the proper cables for each connection.
 Insert the cable plugs firmly; loose connections may increase noise and 
reduce performance of picture signals. When pulling out a cable, be sure to 
pull it out from the plug, not the cable itself.

 When you connect the unit to a video GBR output connector, select video GBR or 
component with the Input-C Signal Sel. setting in the SET SETTING menu.
 Use the composite sync signal when you input the external sync signal from video 
GBR/component equipment.
