    Quick Reference for Remote Commander
    Note
    The remote control of the unit employs 
    command signals in common with other 
    Sony DVD products.
    Thus, depending on the button, other Sony 
    DVD products may respond.
    ATurns the Sony TV and the 
    system on and changes the 
    TV’s input source.
    BSets the system to turn off at a 
    preset time.
    CSelects AM or FM band.
    DMutes the sound.
    EPress to store a preset station.
    FSelects program or shuffle play 
    mode.
    GDisplays the repeat status.
    HSwitches monaural or stereo of 
    FM stereo reception.
    ISwitches the TV’s input source 
    between the TV and SYSTEM.
    Sets the remote to TV mode.
    Normal mode: turns off.
    TV mode: turns red.
    JChanges the sound while 
    playing a DVD or VIDEO CD.
    KChanges the angles when 
    playing a DVD.LDisplays the ”SUBTITLE“ 
    menu in the Control Menu 
    display.
    M./> : Press to go to the 
    next chapter or track or to go 
    back to the previous chapter or 
    track. PRESET –/+ : Scan all 
    preset stations.
    NPlays a disc.
    OPauses playing a disc.
    PDisplays the title menu on the 
    TV screen.
    MP3/JPEG: Select albums
    QSelects and executes the items 
    or settings.
    RDisplays the Control Menu 
    display on the TV screen to set 
    or adjust the items.
    SSelects the TV Channel.
    TAdjusts the TV volume.
    UTurns the TV on and off.
    VTurns on and off the power of

    WEjects a disc.
    XBass sound is effectively 
    reinforced.
    YSelects the sound field.
    ZSelects the sound field.
    wjMakes sound clear at low 
    volume.
    wkSelects the component you 
    want to use.
    wlSelects the items of settings. 
    TV: Selects channel numbers.*
    e;Executes the items or settings. 
    TV: Press after selecting a 
    channel number 
    eam/M (SCAN) : Locate a 
    point while monitoring the 
    picture while playing disc.
    / SLOW : Play a disc in 
    slow motion in the pause mode.
    TUNING –/+ : Scan all 
    available radio stations.
    esStops playing a disc.
    edSwitches the item displayed on 
    the front panel display.
    efDisplays the DVD menu on the 
    TV screen.
    MP3/JPEG: Select albums
    egAdjust the SYSTEM volume.
    ehPress to return to the previously 
    selected screen, etc.ejChanges the input mode of the

    front panel display by two 
    steps.
