User instructions 3/1 OPTION BUTTON (on some models only) (available in all programs except the soak program) By pressing the button (4) you activate the 3/1 option, confirmed when the relative light comes on. This option has been studied for the use of dishwashing powder or tablets with integrated substances in place of regenerating salt or rinse-aid known on the market as “3 in 1” or “triple action” products; in this case the dishwasher will use the product in an optimal way avoiding salt and rinse-aid consumption, which could already be found in the dishwasher. Note: When selecting the 3/1 button, it is normal that the salt and rinse-aid lights remain on, if their containers are empty. DELAY PROGRAM (on some models only) (available in all programs except the soak program) The PROGRAM DELAY button (3) can be pressed to delay the start of the washing program by 3 ,6 or 9 hours. This function allows you to set the dishwasher to work at your preferred time of day. After selecting the delay, start the program (see relative section). The appliance will prewash the dishes, after which the program delay set previously will come into effect (the light corresponding to 3, 6 or 9 hours flashes). To reset or change the delay once the program has started: • press the START/PAUSE button (5) for a few seconds, until the PHASES/PROGRAM lights (10) come on; • press the DELAY PROGRAM button (3) several times “until the program delay” returns to zero (all the lights indicating the delay go out); • press the START/PAUSE button(5) to start the new program.
User instructions To set the delay once the program has started , proceed as follows. If the program you wish to carry out is the same as the one already in progress: • press the START/PAUSE button (5) for a few seconds, until the PHASES/PROGRAM lights (10) come on; • annul the program in progress (see relative section) and wait for the cycle to come to an end; • select the program again; • select the delay required; • press the START/PAUSE button(5) to start the new program. If the program you wish to carry out is different from the one already in progress: • press the START/PAUSE button(5) for a few seconds, until the PHASES/PROGRAM lights (10) come on; • change the program; • select the delay required; • press the START/PAUSE button(5) to start the new program. The dishwahser will pump out the water and restart with the delay set and the new program.
User instructions TO SAVE ON ENERGY! … AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT •Always try to run the dishwasher fully loaded. •Do not wash the dishes in running water. •Use the washing program that is most appropriate for each type of load. •Do not carry out any preliminary rinsing. •If available, connect the dishwasher to a hot water supply up to 60°C. TO CUT DOWN ON DETERGENT CONSUMPTION! … AND PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT The phosphates contained in dishwasher detergents are harmful to the environment. To avoid using excessive amounts of detergent and to save on electricity, observe the following: • separate the more delicate items from dishes that are more resistant to aggressive detergents and high temperatures; • do not pour the detergent directly on the dishes. REMOVING THE DISHES At the end of the washing program, wait at least 20 minutes before removing the dishes, to allow them to cool down. To prevent any water droplets on the upper basket from falling on the dishes in the lower basket, it is advisable to unload the lower basket first, and then the upper basket.
User instructions ADJUSTING THE WATER SOFTENING SYSTEM The dishwasher is equipped with an device for the user to adjust the water softening system according to the hardness of the water supply. According to the machine model, the selector which acts on the adjustment may be located: • inside the plastic locking ring located on the right-hand side, inside the dishwasher; • inside the water softener, just below the cap. Both allow for adjustment to 5 settings: WATER HARDNESS TABLE WATER HARDNESS German Degrees (°dH)French Degrees (°dF)SETTING 0 - 40 - 7Setting N. 1 NO SALT 5 - 158 - 25Setting N. 1 16 - 2326 - 40Setting N. 2 24 - 3141 - 60Setting N. 3 32 - 4761 - 80Setting N. 4 48 - 5881 - 100Setting N. 5 Contact your local water board for information on the hardness of your water supply.
