This chapter explains how to set the automatic exposure level, toner save mode, and the user programs, which are 
custom settings that control fine points of the machine’s operation.

ENABLING TONER SAVE MODE
Toner save mode can be enabled to reduce toner consumption by about 10%.
1Press the [AUTO/TEXT/PHOTO] key to 
select TEXT.
2Hold down the [AUTO/TEXT/PHOTO] 
key until the PHOTO indicator blinks.
The exposure level 
indicators show the

AUDITING MODE
When Auditing mode is enabled, a count is kept of the number of copies made by each account (up to 20 accounts 
can be established), and the counts can be displayed and totaled as necessary. In Auditing mode, the display 
shows - - -, and this indicates that a 3-digit account number must be entered in order to use the machine for 
copying.
