65English EXPOSURE CORRECTION When capturing images, you can make the image lighter or darker. 1 Point the camera lens at the subject, and display the Recording Menu (page 54). 2 Press the [m] and [o] buttons to select “EXPOSURE” and press the SET button. hThe screen to adjust the exposure appears. 3 Press the [n] or [o] button to select the exposure numerical value, and press the SET button. hThe specified exposure is set, and you are returned to the Recording Menu. HINT iThe exposure correction setting returns to ±0 after the camera is turned off. English70 ROTATE IMAGE Captured still images can be rotated to the correct orientation for viewing. 1 Display the image you wish to rotate, and display the Playback Menu (page 66). 2 Select “ROTATE” and press the SET button. hThe screen to rotate the image appears. 3 Select “YES” and press the SET button. hEach time the SET button is pressed, the image is rotated another 90 degrees. 71English CHANGING IMAGE SIZE (RESIZE) The size of a still image that has already been captured at a resolution of t or more can be changed to 1,600 × 1,200 pixels or 640 × 480 pixels. The resized image is saved as a separate image. 1 Display the still image whose size you want to change, and display the Playback Menu (page 66). 2 Select “RESIZE” and press the SET button. hThe screen to change the still image resolution appears. 3 Select the new image size. 4 Press the SET button. hResizing begins. HINT Why can’t the image be resized? iAn image can be resized only to a smaller (or the same) size, not to a larger size.2 M (1600 × 1200):The saved image will be 1,600 × 1,200 pixels. 0.3 M (640 × 480):The saved image will be 640 × 480 pixels. English74 PRINT SETTINGS In addition to using your printer to print out still images captured with your camera, as with conventional film, you can have prints made at shops offering digital print services. Moreover, this camera is DPOF-compatible, so you can use the camera to specify the number of prints, whether or not the date is displayed on the print, and also to specify an index print.
