    Viewing content stored in other devices
    Search for content stored in other devices and view it on your device.
    Accessing content stored in Samsung Link devices
    To use this feature, sign in to your Samsung account. Refer to Registering Samsung accounts 
    for more information.
    On the Gallery main screen, tap 
     and select a device in NEARBY DEVICES to access 
    content. You can view content from devices that are registered to Samsung link. Visit 
    link.samsung.com for more information.
    •	Ensure that the registered devices are turned on and connected to a  Wi-Fi or 
    mobile network.
    •	You may incur additional charges when you access content stored in other devices 
    via the mobile network.
    Accessing content stored in nearby devices
    Search for nearby devices via  Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi Direct, or a mobile hotspot to view content stored in 
    them on your device.
    1 On the All apps screen, tap Settings → NFC and sharing → Nearby devices, and then 
    tap the 
    Nearby devices switch to activate it.
    2 On the Gallery main screen, tap .
    3 Select a device in NEARBY DEVICES.
    You can view images and videos from other devices that have the content sharing feature 
    activated.

    Deleting images or videos
    Deleting an image or a video
    Select an image or a video and tap  at the top of the screen.
    Deleting multiple images and videos
    1 On the Gallery main screen, tap and hold an image or a video to delete.
    Alternatively, tap 
     → Select.
    2 Tick the images or videos to delete.
    3 Tap  at the top of the screen.
    You can also tap 
     → Delete, tick the images or videos to delete, and then tap Done to delete 
    multiple items.

    Safety assistance
    Emergency mode
    Emergency mode changes the screen to grey tones to reduce battery consumption. Some 
    apps and functions will be restricted.
    1 On the All apps screen, tap Settings → Safety assistance → Emergency mode and tap 
    the 
    Emergency mode switch to activate it.
    Alternatively, press and hold the Power key, and then tap 
    Emergency mode.
    2 Read and agree to the terms and conditions and tap OK.
    3 Read the on-screen information and tap Enable.
    Add more apps to use.
    Make an emergency call.
    Remaining battery power and 
    estimated battery standby time
    Turn on the flash.
    Make a call.Send your current location  information in a message.
    Browse the Internet.
    Access additional options.
    Sound alarms.
    The estimated maximum standby time shows the time remaining before the battery 
    power runs out if the device is not used. Standby time may vary depending on your 
    device settings and operating conditions.

    Deactivating emergency mode
    To deactivate emergency mode, tap  → Disable Emergency mode → Disable. Alternatively, 
    press and hold the Power key, and then tap 
    Emergency mode → Disable.
    Send help messages
    In an emergency situation, quickly press the Power key three times. The device sends 
    messages to your primary contacts. The messages include your location information. To use 
    this feature, register your primary contacts and create help messages first.
    Adding primary contacts
    1 On the All apps screen, tap Settings → Safety assistance.
    2 Tap Manage primary contacts → Create primary contact.
    3 Tap Create contact and enter contact information or tap Select from contacts to add an 
    existing contact as a primary contact.
    Setting help messages
    1 On the All apps screen, tap Settings → Safety assistance.
    2 Tap Send help messages, and then tap the Send help messages switch to activate it.
    3 Read and agree to the terms and conditions, and then tap OK.
    To send help messages with audio recordings or photos, tick 
    Send sound recording or 
    Send pictures.
    The Send pictures option may not be available depending on the region or service 
    provider.

    Useful apps
    Car mode
    An introduction
    Use this mode to control the device while you are driving. You can listen to messages and 
    music by using voice commands and without touching the device.
    Do not look at the screen or perform functions with your hands while driving.
    •	Navigation maps, your current location, and other navigational data may differ 
    from actual location information. You should always pay attention to road 
    conditions, traffic, and any other factors that may affect your driving. Follow all 
    safety warnings and regulations while driving.
    •	You may incur additional charges when using the navigation feature.
    •	This mode may not be available depending on the region or service provider.
    •	This mode is not supported in some languages.
    Starting car mode
    When you register a vehicle to your device, you can listen to the sound from the device via 
    the car’s speakers. You can also set the device to activate car mode automatically when it 
    connects to the vehicle, and more.
    When running this app for the first time, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the 
    setup.
    1 Open the quick settings panel and tap Car mode to activate it.

    When the Bluetooth permission request window appears, tap 
    Ye s to allow a vehicle to 
    search for your device and connect them via Bluetooth.
    •	Before registering your vehicle, start the vehicle and turn on the radio.
    •	While you are registering a vehicle to the device, place the device near the vehicle.
    Registering more vehicles
    Tap  → Settings → My cars → .
    Using car mode menus
    Use car mode menus using voice commands to make calls, send messages, navigate to 
    places, or play music. You can also tap each menu icons on the screen.
    1 Open the quick settings panel and tap Car mode to activate it.
    Access additional 
    options.

    2 On the car mode main screen say “Hi Galaxy .”
    3 When the  icon appears, say a voice command to launch the desired menu.
    You can also use quick voice commands. To view examples of quick voice commands, tap

    Using the navigation feature
    Select a location precisely by tapping and holding your finger on the map. Or, use a voice 
    command to navigate to a destination.
    Before using this feature, you must download and install the navigation app from 
    GALAXY Apps.
    1 Open the quick settings panel and tap Car mode to activate it.
    2 On the car mode main screen, say “Hi Galaxy.”
    3 Say “Navigation ”.
    4 Say a keyword or the address for the location.
    The device will automatically begin guiding you to the location.
    S Finder
    An introduction
    Search for a wide variety of content with a keyword.
    Searching for content
    Open the notification panel and tap S Finder.
    Enter a keyword in the search field or tap 
     and say a keyword.
    To get more refined results, tap the filter buttons under the search field, and then select a tag.

    Setting search categories
    You can set search categories to search for content in specific search fields.
    Tap 
     → Settings → Select search category and tick categories.
    Managing the search history
    Your past searches are saved automatically. To delete a search history item, tap  next to an 
    item.
    To set the device to not save the search history, tap 
     → Settings, and deselect Use search 
    history
    .
    S Planner
    An introduction
    Manage your schedule by entering upcoming events or tasks in your planner.
    Creating events or tasks
    1 Tap S Planner on the All apps screen.
    2 Tap  or double-tap a date.
    If the date already has saved events or tasks in it, tap the date and tap

    3 Tap the top left of the screen to select either event or task and enter details.
    •	Add event: Set a start and end date for an event. You can set an optional repeat 
    setting.
    •	Add task: Add a task to do on a specific date. You can set an optional priority setting.
    Enter a title.
    Attach a map showing the 
    location of the event.
    Set a reminder for the event.
    Add more details.
    Select a calendar to use or sync 
    with.
    Select an item.
    Set a start and end date for the event.
    4 Tap Save to save the event or task.
    Syncing events and tasks with your accounts
    On the S Planner main screen, tap  → Sync now to sync events and tasks with your accounts.
    To add accounts to sync with, tap 
     → Calendars → Add account. Then, select an account 
    to sync with and sign in. When an account is added, a green circle is displayed next to the 
    account name.
    To change an account’s syncing option, open the All apps screen, tap 
    Settings → Accounts, 
    and then select an account service.

    S Health
    An introduction
    S Health helps you manage your wellness and fitness. Set fitness goals, check your progress, 
    and keep track of your overall wellness and fitness.
    Starting S Health
    When running this app for the first time or restart it after performing a data reset, follow the 
    on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
    1 Tap S Health on the All apps screen.
    2 Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
    Based on your physical statistics, the device calculates your standard basal metabolic 
    rate (BMR) and recommends a daily calorie intake. The recommendation may not be 
    accurate for all ages, body compositions, or nutritional needs.
    S Health main screen
    You can view the key information from S Health menus and use shortcuts to directly access S 
    Health menus.
    Tap 
    S Health on the All apps screen. Tap  → Main screen.
    To access more information about S Health functions, open the S Health main screen 
    and tap 
     → Help.
