If Off is selected, it takes several seconds for the monitor to detect movement and turn on after it turned off. zDimming: Reduce the brightness of the screen (still turned on). 5Press [ ] to move to the opti on you want and press the [ ]. 6The selected option will be applied. zThe optimal working area for Eco Motion Sensor is within a certain distance (1m) and atcertain angle (40°). zIf there is no user movement, the Eco Motion Sensor may fail to detect motion. zIf you think that the mode entry message appears too frequently, increase the time setting of the Eco Motion Sensor or turn the Eco Icon Display Off. zAvoid using radio equipment such as a walkie-talkie near the product as this may cause a product malfuction. 7.1.2 Eco Light Sensor The Eco Saving feature optimizes the view condition and contributes to power saving by adjusting the screen brightness depending on the ambient light intensity. zThis menu is not available when Bright is in Dynamic Contrast mode. zThis menu is not available when Eco Saving is enabled. 60 Setup and Reset 7 7 Setup and Reset zWhen the screen becomes brighter as the ambient light becomes brighter and the Eco Light Sensor activates, the brightness slid e bar level will increase with a sun image displayed above the bar. When the screen becomes darker, the brightness slide bar level will decrease with a moon image displayed above the bar. The brightness slide bar will be displayed for three seconds after the sensor activates. zA pop-up as shown above will appear wh en an energy tree completes while Eco Icon Display is on. If the above picture is displayed, it means the Eco Icon Display option is on. Change this setting to off if you do not want to display the pop-up. zThe amount of energy saved by the Eco Motion Sensor, Eco Light Sensor , and Eco Saving functions will accumulate and the progress can be viewed as a growing energy tree. The energy tree grows as the energy savings of the monitor accumulate. Accordingly, the tree's growth will also be affected by other functions that involve power consumption such as the brightness control function. zThe amount of energy savings accumulated by the Eco Motion Sensor, Eco Light Sensor, and Eco Saving functions will be represented as an amount of carbon dioxide. zA complete energy tree will be displayed when the amount of energy savings accumulates to as much as the amount of carbon dioxide a tree absorbs in a year. zThis shows that your energy saving is as effective as planting a tree so that you can easily understand the accumulation of energy savings over time and its effect by viewing the progress of a tree growing.
