    Copying a Hyperlink or URL
    1.From a Home screen, touch Internet  and browse to a 
    web page.
    2.Touch and hold on the link or URL
    3.Touch Copy link URL on the pop-up menu.
    Pasting Text, Hyperlinks, or URLs
    To paste copied text, hyperlinks, or URLs:
    1.Navigate to the desired field or to another application.
    2.Touch and hold in a text field.
    3.Touch Paste on the pop-up menu.
    Using Bookmarks
    While browsing, bookmark a site to quickly access it later.
    Creating a Bookmark
    1.From a Home screen, touch Internet  and browse to a 
    web page.
    2.Touch  ➔ Bookmarks.
    3.Touch Add.
    The 
    Add bookmark prompt displays.
    4.Confirm the Name and URL for the bookmark, then touch 
    OK to save the bookmark.
    Accessing Bookmarks, Most Visited, and Histor y
    Launch a bookmarked page or most visited page, or reload 
    recent pages.
    1.From a Home screen, touch Internet .

    On the Bookmarks tab, use these options:
    Touch a bookmark to load the page.
    Touch and hold on a bookmark for these options:
    –Open: Launch the bookmarked page.–Open in new window: Open the linked page in a new window.–Edit bookmark: Change the bookmark name or URL.–Add shortcut to Home: Create a bookmark on the Home screen.–Share link: Use Bluetooth, Email, or Gmail to send the link.–Copy link URL: Save the link’s URL to the clipboard.–Delete bookmark: Remove the bookmark.–Set as homepage: Assign the bookmarked link as the home page.
    4.On the Most visited tab, use these options:
    Touch a link to reload it.
    Touch the star next to a link to bookmark or unbookmark it.
    Touch and hold on a link for these options:
    –Open: Launch the web page.–Open in new window: Launch the web page in a new window.–Add bookmark/Remove from Bookmarks: Bookmark the page or 
    remove the bookmark for this page.
    –Share link: Use Bluetooth, Email, or Gmail to send the link.–Copy link URL: Save the link’s URL to the clipboard.–Remove from history: Remove the record of this page.–Set as homepage: Assign the bookmarked link as the home page.
    5.On the History tab, use these options:
    Touch a link to load it.

    lists of recent pages.
    Touch the star next to a link to bookmark or unbookmark it.
    To clear the history, touch the Menu Key  ➔ Clear history.
    Touch and hold on a link for these options:–Open: Launch the web page.–Open in new window: Launch the web page in a new window.–Add bookmark/Remove from Bookmarks: Bookmark the page or 
    remove the bookmark for this page.
    –Share link: Use Bluetooth, Email, or Gmail to send the link.–Copy link URL: Save the link’s URL to the clipboard.–Remove from history: Remove the record of this page.–Set as homepage: Assign the bookmarked link as the home page.
    Internet Menu
    While viewing a web page, touch the Menu Key   for the 
    following options:
    New window: Open a window.
    Windows: View the windows you have open.
    Refresh: Redisplay the current web page.
    Forward: Go forward to a recent page.

    Add bookmark: Create a bookmark for the current page.
    More:–Add shortcut to Home: Create a bookmark on the Home screen.–Add RSS feeds: Adds RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds. RSS is a 
    family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated works, 
    such as blog entries, news headlines, audio, and video.
    –Find on page: Search for content on the current page.–Page info: View information about the current page, including the URL.–Share page: Use Bluetooth, Email, or Gmail to send the page’s URL.–Downloads: View and manage recent downloads.–Settings: Customize the Internet settings (see “Internet Settings” on 
    page 59).
    Internet Settings
    1.From a Home screen, touch Internet .
    2.Touch the Menu Key  ➔ More  ➔ Settings for the 
    following options:
    Page content settings
     Default zoom
    : Choose a default zoom level for web pages.
     Open pages in overview: When enabled, displays an overview of 
    newly-opened pages.
     Text encoding: Choose a default character set for web pages.
     Block pop-up windows: When enabled, blocks pop-up windows.
    : When enabled, images are automatically loaded 
    when you visit a page. When disabled, images are indicated by a 
    link, which you can touch to download the picture.
     Auto-fit pages: When enabled, the Browser automatically sizes 
    web pages to fit your device’s display.
     Landscape view only: When enabled, all pages display in the 
    wider landscape orientation (rotate your device to view pages in 
    landscape mode).
     Enable JavaScript: When enabled, the Browser automatically runs 
    JavaScript scripts on pages you visit.
     Enable plug-ins: When enabled, the Browser automatically loads 
    and runs plug-ins on pages you visit.
     Open in background: When enabled, new windows open behind 
    the current window.
     Set home page: View and set the default first page that displays 
    when you launch the Browser.
     Default storage: The default location for downloads.
    Privacy settings
     Clear cache
    : Delete content and databases stored on the device.
    : Delete the list of previously-visited pages.
     Accept cookies: When enabled, allows Browser to save and read 
    cookie information used by web pages.

     Clear all cookie data: Delete cookie information saved to the 
    device.
     Remember form data: When enabled, stores information you 
    enter into forms to make future forms easier.
     Clear form data: Deletes saved form information.
     Enable location: When enabled, sites you visit can request access 
    to your location.
     Clear location access: Clear location access for all web sites.
    Security settings
     Remember passwords
    : When enabled, saves usernames and 
    passwords for sites you visit, to make future visits easier.
     Clear passwords: Clear all saved usernames and passwords.
     Show security warnings: When enabled, the Browser warns you if 
    there is a problem with a site’s security.
    Advanced settings
     Select search engine
    : Select the search engine you want to use. 
    Choices are: Google, Yahoo!, and Bing.
     Website settings: View and manage settings for individual web 
    sites.
     Reset to default: Clear all browser data and reset all settings to the 
    factory defaults.
    Maps
    Use Google Maps to find your current location, get directions, and 
    other location-based information.
    Tip: The Google Maps shortcut appears on the main Home screen by default. 
    For information about adding shortcuts to a Home screen, see “Adding 
    Shortcuts from a Home Screen” on page 22.
    Note: You must enable location services to use Maps. Some features require 
    Standalone or Google location services. For more information, refer to 
    “Location and Security”  on page 111.
    From the Home screen, touch Maps.

    From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Maps.
    Navigating the Map
    Zooming
    Double-tap on the screen to zoom in.
    Touch Zoom in or Zoom out  .
    Scrolling
    Touch and drag on the screen to reposition the map in the display.

    Touch an icon on the map to display information about the location.
    Maps Menu
    1.From a Home screen, touch Maps .
    2.While viewing a map, touch the Menu Key  for these 
    options:
    : Find a location.
    : Get driving, public transport, or walking directions.
    : Display starred locations.
    : Remove search results from the map.
     Join Latitude / Latitude: Join or display Latitude, to share your 
    location with friends you choose and Google.
    :
    –Labs: Access experimental features.
    –Sign In: Enter your Google Username and Password, then touch Sign In.
    –Cache Settings: Set your Prefetch on mobile preference and Clear 
    map tile cache, if necessary.
    –Help: Learn about Google maps.
    –Terms, Privacy & Notices: View information about Google Maps, 
    including the Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, Legal Notices, and 
    Web History.
    –About: View information about Maps.
    Other Map Options
    Touch the indicated icon to use these additional Map options:
    Search Maps: Use the keypad to enter your request to 
    Search the map for a city, location, and so on. 
    Suggestions are displayed as you type. Touch  to 
    speak a city, location, and so on, to display.
    Places: Launch the Places app. For more information, 
    refer to “Places”  on page 64.
    Layers: Enable or disable a map layer to display. 
    Choose from Traffic, Satellite, Terrain, Transit Lines, 
    Latitude, My Maps, Bicycling, or Wikipedia. Touch 
    Clear Map to remove previous layers.
    Compass: Set the map to always display north at the 
    top of the screen or to automatically rotate like a 
    compass, keeping north on the map facing north, and 
    so on. Your device may have to be calibrated the first 
    time you use this feature. Follow the on-screen 
    instructions.

    Latitude
    With Google Latitude, you can see the location of all of your 
    friends on a map or on a list. You can also share or hide your 
    location.
    You must first set up your tablet to use wireless networks to help 
    pinpoint your location. Also, Latitude works best when Wi-Fi is 
    enabled. 
    To enable Wi-Fi:
    1.From a Home screen, touch the Menu Key  ➔ Settings.
    2.Touch Location and security ➔ Use wireless networks.
    A green check mark   indicates the feature is enabled.
    3.Touch Wireless and network ➔ Wi-Fi settings ➔ Wi-Fi to 
    turn Wi-Fi on. For more information, refer to “Wi-Fi”  on 
    page 80.
    4.Log on to your Google account.
    Note: To create a Google account or set up your Google account on your 
    device use Accounts and sync settings. For more information, refer to “Accounts and Sync”  on page 115.
    5.Touch Home  ➔ Applications  ➔ Latitude. 
    Your location is displayed on the map, accurate to 30 
    meters.
    Sharing Your Location with Friends
    1.From the Latitude map screen, touch the Menu Key  
    ➔Latitude to display your Latitude list of friends. At first, 
    only your name is displayed.
    2.Touch the Menu Key  ➔ Add friends.
    3.Touch Select from Contacts or Add via email address.
    4.Touch a contact.
    – or –
    Enter an email address and touch Add friends.
    5.At the Send sharing requests prompt, touch Ye s.
    Your friend will receive an email or text message with your 
    location marked on a map. They will also receive instructions on 
    how to view your location from the web or use Latitude on their 
    device, if it is available. Once they acknowledge your request, 
    their location will display on your device. They can share their 
    location from their computer, phone, or device.

    Latitude Menu
    1.From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Latitude.
    2.Touch the Menu Key  ➔Latitude to display your 
    Latitude list of friends.
    3.Touch the Menu Key  for these options:
     Refresh friends: Update your Latitude list of friends.
     Check in: Automatically check in at specific places you designate, 
    and you will be checked in when you are there.
    : Display the map screen.
     Add friends: Share your location with friends. For more 
    information, refer to “Sharing Your Location with Friends”  
    on page 62.
     Settings: Used to set various Latitude options.
    –Sign out of Latitude: Sign out of Latitude and launch the Maps 
    application.
    Location reporting–Detect your location: Enable or disable whether your location is 
    updated automatically.
    –Set your location: Set your location manually.
    –Do not update your location: Your friends cannot see your automatic 
    location.
    Location history–Enable location history: This history is only seen by you.
    Check-ins–Automatically check in: Checks you in to places that you have 
    designated.
    –Check-in notifications: Enables notifications that suggest places to 
    check in.
    –Manage your places: View and modify your automatic check-ins and 
    muted places.
    For the remaining options, see “Maps Menu” on page 61.
    Navigation
    Use Google Navigation to find a destination and to get walking or 
    driving directions.
    Note: You must first create a Wi-Fi connection to use Navigation.
    1.From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Navigation.
    The 
    Set Destination screen displays.
    2.Touch either Driving or Walking at the top of the screen to 
    describe the type of directions you want. 
    3.Touch Map at the top of the screen to see a map (Driving) 
    or a satellite image (Walking) of your area.

    If Driving, touch Route options   to set whether 
    directions should 
    Avoid highways and Avoid tolls.
    5.To find a destination, touch an option:
     Speak Destination: Say the name or address of your destination.
     Type Destination: Enter the destination.
    : Choose a destination from a contact record.
     Starred Places: Choose destinations you have marked as favorites.
     Recent Destinations: Choose from recent destinations. This option 
    is not available until a destination has been requested.
    6.While navigating, touch the Menu Key  for options:
    : Find a location.
     Route Info: View information about the current route.
    : Choose map layers to display.
    : Mute to silence voice-guided prompts.
    : Close Navigation and discard route information.

    –Directions List: View directions in a step-by-step list.–Set Destination: Choose or enter a destination.–Help: Learn about Google maps.–Terms, Privacy & Notices: View information about Google Maps, 
    including the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, and Legal 
    Notices.
    Places
    Google Places uses your location to help you find nearby 
    destinations, such as restaurants, bars, hotels, attractions, ATMs, 
    and gas stations, or you can enter a location.
    1.From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Places.
    2.Touch a category or touch Add   to enter criteria.
    3.Touch a destination to view details and for map and 
    navigation options.
    Google Search
    Search the internet, and your device, using the Google search 
    engine.
    Tip: The Google Search widget appears on the main Home screen by default. 
    For information about displaying widgets on the Home screen, see 
    “Adding Widgets to the Home screen” on page 21.
    1.From the Home screen, touch the Google Search widget 
    .

    From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Google Search .

    Use the keypad to enter search criteria to display matching 
    searches.
    Suggestions display below the text entry area.
    3.Touch a suggestion to search for that term.

    Touch   to start the search.
    A browser window displays the search results.
    4.Touch Voice Search , on the Google Search widget, to 
    search using spoken commands.
    Voice Search
    Voice Search offers voice-activated Google searches. Voice 
    Search uses your location to improve search results and offer 
    other services.
    Tip: Voice Search is also available on the Google Search widget, which appears on a Home screen by default.
    1.From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔Voice Search .
    2.Touch Agree to allow location-based searches or Disagree 
    to disallow.
    3.Touch Speak now, then speak your search criteria slowly 
    and clearly. Google searches for the information and 
    displays results.
    YouTube
    View and upload YouTube videos right from your device.
    Tip: The YouTube widget appears on the main Home screen by default. For 
    information about displaying widgets on the Home screen, see “Adding 
    Widgets to the Home screen” on page 21.
    1.From the Home screen, touch YouTube.
    – or –
    From a Home screen, touch Applications  
    ➔YouTube.
    2.The first time you open YouTube, read the Terms of 
    Service, then touch Accept to continue.
    3.Browse and select videos for viewing.

    YouTube Menu
    While browsing or viewing a YouTube page, touch the Menu Key  for the following options:
    Home: Display the main YouTube screen.
    Browse: View videos by category such as Comedy, Education, or 
    Music.
    Search: Enter criteria to find videos.
    My Channel: Add an account and configure account settings.
    Upload: Transfer a video from your device to YouTube.
    Settings: Configure display and search settings and view information 
    about the application.
    YouTube Settings
    1.From the Home screen, touch YouTube.
    2.Touch the Menu Key  ➔ Settings for the following 
    options:
    General settings
     High quality on mobile
    : Enable or disable high quality video mode.
     Caption font size: Set the caption font size to Small, Medium, Large, or Extra Large.
    Search settings
     Clear search history
    : Clear previous YouTube searches from 
    displaying in the Search box.
     SafeSearch filtering: Set the video search filter to Don’t filter, Moderate, or Strict.
    About
    –Help: Displays the YouTube Help web site.
    –Feedback: Displays the YouTube feedback form. You must be at least 
    18 years old to fill out the form.
    –Google Mobile Terms of Service / YouTube Terms of Service / Google Mobile Privacy Policy / YouTube Privacy Policy: Tap one of 
    the items to read the selected terms of service or privacy policy 
    information.
    –Application version: Displays the YouTube version number.
