FILTERS Given norrnal corrditions, rlodern negative material can be relied upon to reproduce nedr to true tonrl values of natures colors. Often, however, special lighrinrr conditions, the draracteristics of a subiect or a p.rrticu- lar effect airned at require tltr- use of fi,ters. All Rollei filters are av.riloble eithc-r r.rth bayonet or Frush-on ttt!rurtt, dccrrrdirl!l tc, the camera model r.rsed. IENS HOOD You are well advised to use tlris accessory at all times, as it wards 6ff elistcrrbing side- light, not included in the.rngle of vien of the lens, lhereby increasing the brilliance of the in]age. For ba&-ligrhted subjects and night exposu- res, however, the lens hood is absolutely i nd i spensa b le. It is mor, rnted on the outer rim of the bayo- net socket of the taking lens and does not impede in any way the simultaneous use of other accessories sudr as filters, Rolleinar lenses, etc.
DUTO ROItEI SOFT FOCUS tENS For back-lighted subjects and portraits in particular, a softening of contrasts, a so-called soft focus effect is desired, whidr may be adrieved by nreans of the Duto Rollei soft focus lens. The soft focus effect surrounds the sharp contours of the subiect with radiant, yet ilowing halos and should not be confused with lad< of definition caused by inr- proper focusing. Two types of Duto discs may be supplied: No. 0, the weaker of the two, is recommended for strong contrasts and bright, shiny oblects, while No. I is recommended for medium and weak contrasts. Duto mounts are so designed as to permit the simul- taneous use of Rolleinar lenses, filters and lens hood. PANORAMA HEAD This practical accessory pernrits the taking of pano- ramic views with the tripod-nrounted Rolleiflex and Rolleicord, Ten exposures give a complete round-view. The individual negatives overlap somewhat in order to assure neat and perfect joints of the finished pano- ramic picture,
