11 TERMINALS OF THE PROJECTOR This projector applies various input/output terminals and 4 terminal slots for expansion to tune to diversity of signals from computers and video equipment. 4-built-in Terminal Slots enable you to arrange desired combinations of input sources just by changing Terminal Boards. For Terminal Boards, contact the sales dealer where you purchased the projector. CONNECTING THE PROJECTOR Pull out the terminal by holding the handle. Remove 2 Screws on the terminal.1 2 REPLACEMENT OF THE TERMINAL Tighten the screws to secure the terminal. Replace the terminal. (Refer to P14.) Connect the S-VIDEO output from the video equipment to this jack. (Refer to P15.) Connect the audio output from the computer or video equipment to these jacks. (Refer to P14, 15.) Sync and Vert. Sync.)] from the computer to the R/Pr, G/Y, B/Pb, H/HV and V jacks. (Refer to P14, 15)Connect the computer output (Digital/Analog DVI-I type) to this terminal. (Refer to P14.) DVI INPUT TERMINAL INPUT/OUTPUT TERMINALS AND JACKS CONNECTING THE PROJECTOR Connect the computer output (Analog HDB 15-pin type) to this terminal. (Refer to P14.) HDB 15-PIN INPUT TERMINALAV INPUT (VIDEO/Y, C) JACKS Connect the composite video output from the video equipment to the VIDEO/Y jack or connect the Separate Y/C video outputs to the VIDEO/Y and C jacks. 13 CONNECTING THE PROJECTOR Connect an external audio amplifier to these jacks. (Refer to P14, 15.) AUDIO OUTPUT JACKS This projector uses a micro processor to control the unit. Occasionally, the micro processor may malfunction and need to be reset. This can be done by pressing the RESET button with a pen, which will shut down and restart the unit. Do not use the RESET function excessively. RESET BUTTON When using the Wired / Wireless Remote Control Unit as the Wired Remote Control, Connect the Wired Remote Control Unit to this jack with the Remote Control Cable (supplied). (Refer to page 19.) It is also used to control the computer with the Remote Control of this projector. (Refer to P40, 42.) Connect the USB port of the computer to this port. If you control the projector by computer, you must connect a cable (not provided) from your computer to this terminal. This terminal outputs the signal from SERIAL PORT IN. More than two projectors can be controlled with one computer by connecting SERIAL PORT IN. of another projector to this terminal.

18 volume power focus zoom input 3/4 input 1/2d.zoom menumute laser keystoneblankfreeze auto imagenormal lens shift p-timer lock OPERATION OF THE REMOTE CONTROL on all off ALL-OFF SWITCH LEFT SIDE When using the Remote Control Unit, turn this switch to “ON.” And turn it to “ALL OFF” when it is not used. This remote control emits a laser beam as the Laser Pointer from the Laser Light Window. When the LASER button is pressed, the laser light goes on. And when the button is pressed more than 1 minute or the button is released, light goes off. Laser light is emitted with the RED light which tells the laser beam being emitted. The laser emitted is a class IIlaser; therefore, do not look into the Laser Light Window or shine the laser beam on yourself or other people. The three marks bellow are the caution labels for the laser beam. CAUTION: Use of controls or adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specified herein may result hazardous radiation exposure. Laser Light Window These caution labels are put on the remote control. LASER POINTER FUNCTION Used to select input source either INPUT 1 or INPUT 2. (P26) Used to execute the item selected or to expand the image in DIGITAL ZOOM mode. (P34) It is also used as a PC mouse in Wireless Mouse Operation. (P42) POWER ON-OFF BUTTON Used to turn the projector on or off. (P23) MENU BUTTON Used to select MENU operation. (P20, 21, 22) SELECT BUTTON INPUT 1/2 BUTTON LASER BUTTON Used to operate the laser pointer function. The laser beam is emitted while pressing this button within 1 minute. When using the laser pointer for more than 1 minute, release the button and press it again. Used to move the pointer on the MENU, to adjust the item, or to pan the image in DIGITAL ZOOM mode. (P34) It is also used as a PC mouse in Wireless Mouse Operation. (P42) ✽When pressing the center of this button, it works as the SELECT button. Replace two batteries at the same time. Do not use a new battery with a used battery. Avoid contact with water or liquid. Do not expose the Remote Control Unit to moisture, or heat. Do not drop the remote control unit. If batteries have leaked on the remote control, carefully wipe the case clean and load new batteries. Press the lid down- ward and slide it. Remove the battery compartment lid.Slide the batteries into the compartment.Replace the compartment lid. Two AA size batteries For correct polarity (+ and –), be sure the battery terminals are in contact with the pins in the compartment. 20 HOW TO OPERATE THE ON-SCREEN MENU FLOW OF ON-SCREEN MENU Display ON-SCREEN MENU Press MENU button to display the ON-SCREEN MENU (MENU BAR). The red frame is the POINTER. Select the ITEM by pressing SELECT button. The dialog box of the ITEM appears. Move the POINTER (red frame) to the ITEM ICON that you want to select by pressing POINT RIGHT / LEFT buttons. Move the POINTER to the ITEM that you want to adjust and adjust the ITEM by pressing SELECT button. Refer to the following pages for details of respective adjustments. Move the POINTER downward by pressing POINT DOWN button. (The shape of the POINTER becomes an arrow.) Select the Item Control and adjust through ON-SCREEN MENU 1 2 3 5 4 You can control and adjust this projector through the ON-SCREEN MENU.
