    [Parental] 
       
    Restricts access to discs that are unsuitable 
    for children. These types of discs must be 
    recorded with ratings.

    points before requesting ser vice. If the problem

    model and serial number of your Home Theater 
    System. The model number and serial number 
    are on the back or underside of your Home

    The aspect ratio of the screen is not aligned 
    with the TV display setting.

    HDMI
       
    High-Defi nition Multimedia Inter face (HDMI) 
    is a high-speed digital inter face that can 
    transmit uncompressed high defi nition video 
    and digital multichannel audio. It delivers high 
    quality picture and sound quality, completely 
    free from noise. HDMI is fully back ward-
    compatible with DVI.
       
    As required by the HDMI standard, 
    connecting to HDMI or DVI products without 
    HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content 
    Protection) will result in no Video or Audio 
    output.

    JPEG
       
    A ver y common digital still picture format. 
    A still-picture data compression system 
    proposed by the Joint Photographic Exper t 
    Group, which causes only a small decrease in 
    image quality in spite of its high compression 
    ratio. Files are recognised by their fi le 
    ex tension ‘.jpg’ or ‘.jpeg’.

    system. MP3 is the abbreviation of Motion

    Aspect ratio
       
    Aspect ratio refers to the leng th to height 
    ratio of T V screens. The ratio of a standard 
    T V is 4:3, while the ratio of a high-defi nition 
    or wide T V is 16:9. The letter box allows you 
    to enjoy a picture with a wider perspective on 
    a standard 4:3 screen.

    DivX®
       
    The DivX® codec is a patent-pending, 
    MPEG -4 based video compression technology 
    developed by DivX®, Inc. It can shrink the 
    fi le size of digital video and still maintain high 
    visual quality.

    A surround sound system developed by Dolby 
    Laboratories that contains up to six channels 
    of digital audio (front lef t and right, surround 
    lef t and right, centre and subwoofer.)

    Playback Control. A system where you

    Progressive scan
