EN 49 Use the Common Interface slot To receive scrambled DTV signals you will need a CA (Conditional Access) module and a Smart card provided by the service provider. A CA module can enable additional services, for example Pay TV. Contact your Common Interface service provider to get more information about these modules. Although CA module types may vary dependent on the manufacturer, each one of the CA modules supports a certain kind of encryption system. Your TV supports CA modules to work with the DVB-T standard. Note that a smart card may only be valid for a single broadcast channel. CA modules and smart cards are neither supplied nor optional accessories from Philips. The CA module is responsible for the messages and texts on screen. In case of failure or strange behaviour, you must call your CI service broadcaster. Insert a CA module
