Note: D Remove the batteries if not using the remote control for an exten d e d p erio d of time. 3 � 7 Switch on the TV The first time y ou s w itch on the TV, chec k that the mains cor d is p ro p erl y connecte d . Your TV ma y ta k e u p to 15 secon d s to start. First time setup 3 � 8 When y ou turn on the TV set for the first time, a menu is d is p la y e d on screen. This menu p rom p ts y ou to select the Countr y an d Language for the menus: If the menu is not d is p la y e d , p ress the MENU k e y to d is p la y the menu. Press 1. Î or ï to select y our language, an d p ress OK to confirm y our choice. Press 2. Î or ï to select y our countr y , an d p ress OK to confirm y our choice. The search starts automaticall y . All available TV p rogrammes an d ra d io stations are store d . This o p eration ta k es a fe w minutes. The d is p la y sho w s the p rogress of the search an d the number of p rograms foun d . At the en d of the search, the menu d isa pp ears. Note: D If no p rogramme is foun d , consult the p ossible solutions see section 9 troubleshooting. If the transmitter or cable net w or k sen d s the automatic sort signal, the p rograms w ill be numbere d correctl y . In this case, the installation is com p lete.
