Recording on Disc
You can use both 8 cm DVD-RAM and DVD-R discs 
on this DVD Palmcorder for recording. The 
recorded video and audio will be stored on an 8 cm 
DVD-RAM disc or 8 cm DVD-R disc.
Using disc allows you to record without 
overwriting previous recordings, and also to store 
your valuable recordings for as long as need be 
while retaining clarity.

can be performed. Segments can be shortened or 
rearranged and simple titles can be added. In 
general, your PC’s media player will not be capable 
of playing recordings made on this unit without the

Setting Up the DVD Palmcorder

Using the Grip Belt as the hand strap makes it easier to carry the DVD Palmcorder.
1Detach the tip of the Grip Belt from the Lens Cap

Inserting Battery into Remote Controller
Insert the provided button type battery into remote controller.
1Slide the cover to remove it.
2Insert the button type battery with the positive 
 terminal facing up.
3Slide the cover to close it.
Note:Note:The life of the button type battery is approximately one year. 
If the battery is discharged, no operation is possible with 
remote controller: Replace the battery.

●Using Remote Controller
Point the remote controller to the infrared receiver 
on the DVD Palmcorder. The remote controllable 
distance is up to 16 feet (5 m).
Note:Note:When using the remote controller, make sure that the 
infrared receiver on DVD Palmcorder is not exposed to 
direct sunlight or any intense light. If the infrared receiver 
is subject to light stronger than the infrared light from 
remote controller, the DVD Palmcorder cannot be 
operated by remote controller.

Setting Up the Battery Pack
The CGA-DU14A battery pack provided with this DVD Palmcorder has not been charged at purchase time: 
Charge it before using the DVD Palmcorder.
Note:Note:Be sure to use the specified battery pack CGA-DU14A (provided) for the DVD Palmcorder: Using other batteries could 
cause the DVD Palmcorder to malfunction, or result in fire.
Be sure to use the specified AC adapter/charger to charge the battery pack: Using other chargers could cause electric

Attaching Battery Pack to DVD Palmcorder
1Fit the battery pack to the battery attachment 
platform on this DVD Palmcorder and slide it 
upward until a click is heard.Note:Note:Make sure that the battery pack is in the correct 
orientation.

Incomplete attachment could cause the battery pack to 
fall, resulting in damage.
