provides display of television closed captioning in accordance 
with §15.119 of the FCC rules.

EJECTWhen this button is pressed in TV / VCR mode, 
the tape is ejected. This button is inoperative 
if pressed during recording. If pressed in DVD 
mode, the disc tray opens or closes.

SEARCHSkips one chapter or track. Goes to next menu 
screen. In Stop mode, goes to counter position 
“0:00:00”. In Playback mode, skips over 1 to 3 
minutes of tape.
30  SURROUND / VSSCreates a deeper, 3-D sound effect.
31  SUB TITLESelects a different subtitle language.

COUNTER RESETEnlarges specific portions of DVD picture. 
Resets to “0:00:00” at desired portion of tape.
33  SPEED / RETURNReturns to DVD and Video CD (Playback 
Control) menu screen. Selects recording speed 
of tape.
